Waimarang waterfall in Sumba, close to Melolo. Like most places in Sumba, this is also difficult, almost impossible to find without a guide, I should say. The descend to the foot of the waterfall is the hardest treks I've done so far. In rainy season, I wouldn't even consider visiting this gem, because the ground in the forest becomes extremely slippery. Slippery would be ok if you had something to hold onto, but there is nothing. Come well prepared to this location and you'll have an unforgettable experience, guaranteed!
