So allegedly The Others cannot lie (though They can dertainly *decieve* as we have seen many times so far) And I kindof have to wonder...

Remember in episode 2, when The Others (as Zosia) say "If we were to choose, it would hurt one of you... we can't do that"? now, Carol leaves the room, but she doesn't tell Zosia to leave. They choose to put Zosia on board with Koumba, an action which, given that Zosia has been the individual chaperoning Carol, is unkind given that the way they human mind works, Carol saw Zosia as her person/point of connection in all this mess.

Which brings me to my next point: The Others have always been capable of making the choice to *emotionally* harm others. Something they are showing with more and more frequency towards Carol as the show continues. And looking back, I have to wonder if having Zosia leave was a calculated move, to bring Carol into distress that would bond her further with that individual, like the lure on am anglerfish as I have seen it put.

They want Carol, and they'd prefer if she were happy about it, but ultimately they will pull on her strings (currently totally isolating her) to get her to feel and do what they want, to the best of their ability.
