AU where Sam goes to reddit and asks "How do I tell my brother I know he's not straight and I'm fine with it?" In the story he tells the story of how his brother basically raised him, and how he looked up to him so naturally he was observing his big brother a lot. And he saw how he was looking at young Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood, how he was obsessed with so many shows and movies with queer subtext ("Starsky and Hutch", "Thelma and Louise", fucking "RENT" of all things). He mentions that yes his brother loves women and is very open about it but never mentioned doing anything with guys. But then they befriended that one weird guy who quickly became their best friend. And that sure Sam loves him, but he suspects his brother might be into the guy. He says that every time the friend's away his brother is pacing their home, calling the guy every day, and when he doesn't pick up he gets so angry they fight when the friend comes back. Complains a little how sometimes he feels like they forget he's in a room and just stare at each other when he's talking. He says that his brother made a mixtape for the guy. That they always seem to disappear somewhere for hours, so maybe they are hooking up? (In the EDIT Sam clarifies that it turned out they were building a little game-and-movies room but it's still weird). At the end he says that he doesn't know the friend's sexuality and one time when he tried to ask the guy seemed very confused so maybe he just doesn't use a label? And at last he says that he'd like to bring it up to his brother but doesn't really know how and asks if anybody has any advice.
