OK, so something jumped up at me while watching atypical.

The part where Sam's mom talks about how he was adaptable because he figured out a way to ask for help. It got me thinking about how much we struggle because we don't know when to put our hand up and say, sve me. Help me. I need you to take care of this for me. I've always just naturally assumed that people didn't wanna talk to me / would say no if I asked. So it's always a surprise to me when they say yes. Classic case of the Pygmalion effect at work.

My heart goes out to the girl who can't fathom why people stare at her when she walks into a room. You're not weird or weak baby girl, it's just that your audience senses your power even though you haven't fully connected to its depth yet.
