I'm barely on here these days literally just because work is so intense but here is a brief update slash me trying to sort things out in my head because I have a blog that people are reading while I'm over here but this is not for them! I am keen to converse about these things

So school is going really well and they've offered me a permanent contract, but I won't know if I'm going to accept it until I find out if I've been accepted to teach in France for a year, which won't be until the start of March

But I do love this school so I have no idea what I'm going to chose to do next

I made friends with a teacher at school called Catherine, and she's Irish. She's really cool but somehow she makes me feel like a lame little kid when I'm around her? Like I'll say something about staying in by myself and she'll say "aw, bless" or something like that. Or like the other night we went to see Kingsman Secret Service (which was way too violent for me sorry) and I mentioned how it was a bit too violent but then how it was based on a graphic novel which explains that, and she just kind of did the same "aw" and THEN I was like hey btw thanks for coming out with me and being a friend! Because I'm new to town so I wanted to tell her that I did appreciate it. And she laughed and was like "Oh don't ever say thank you to someone for being your friend, that's a bit sad." Idk, like I like having a friend and it's cool to be able to talk about school stuff, but that side of stuff bugs me. Plus I'm the one who makes plans, rather than her. Idk it's just not the best of friendships I don't think?

My landlords are moving which means I have to move, which makes me really sad because I love my town and I've made friends here, but school have offered me a school house for super cheap and the whole house to myself which is like the dream life

Last night I went out with those friends and we had dinner and played board games and I told them I was moving and they were all genuinely upset like "how are you gonna come hang out with us??" and I said of course I'd still come over on a Friday night. It just made me feel super loved and that I wasn't being a burden or a clingy weird thing, they actually wanna hang out

Plus there are two nice boys, one of whom is a bit very nice

I like living in England a lot and am very at home here

I like being a novelty with my accent, it's kinda fun to be the unusual one

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 is one of my favourite movies because of all of the puns.
