It was sheaved when he was first imprisoned, grew out over time. When it got too long, Keeli would cut it a bit to a more manageable length. Cause she’s good like that. Granted, it’s dark in the cell, and she had limited time, so it was a messy job, but she did it.

He’s gonna get a hair-do soon, too. But he’ll keep Season 3 general length and stuff. More like the comics, maybe.

Cause that’s the peak of Zuko hair in my humble opinion.
