my brain: so we have extreme memory issues and constantly forget things, and often mix up if something was a dream or real life, and for a long time tried convincing ourselves a traumatic thing didnt actually happen, so what if we just let this consume more things? our memories usually are recalled only in vague details and sometimes feels like we saw it from the outside, so why not continuously push the idea that certain memories didnt happen and were just dreams? we can internally rewrite our own past. we can freely input new memories in their places if we choose. at some point wed surely not be able to tell whats real or fake, not remember what we implanted and forcefully forgotten, we could forget any sort of unpleasantries
