I so badly wish to return to a time where information was something to be sought out
A time when our fingertips weren't even close to finding the answer we were seeking at first
A return to the books, maps, and stars, the heavens above and great beyond
A world we live in is lost at this pace, always yearning for something never found
Answers are so quickly to arrive that we forget the journey
Maybe... Just maybe this is why we sit oft times amidst a crowd alone
The answer we seek is never really right in front of us
He is... And He wants to tell us... But to sit and "tarry an hour?" Absurd at best
Fast food, fast knowledge, fast. Things arrived at fast are often left just as quick
But to sit, to dwell? This, my friends, is how one becomes filled
Those who wait upon Him, the King, Jesus. They will find rest in Him, strength and peace, a hope and a future. They will run the race of faith, endure all things through Him. To dwell in His presence, will we be safe? Amen. Will we be loved? Amen. Will we be free? Amen. And to all of your "Do You really love me that much?" questions, His answer will always be yes, and amen.
The world was not built in a day. Could God have done it in a day? Absolutely. Did He? No. He took His time. He wants to do the same with you. Spend time with Him. Be made whole. God bless.
He's an on time God.
Just wait and watch
Luke 12:2 - For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
“Such a man only feareth the eyes of men, and knoweth not that the eyes of the Lord are ten thousand times brighter than the sun, beholding all the ways of men, and considering the most secret parts.” - Ecclesiasticus 23:19
Let God be in the midst of everything you do and your thoughts won't be far from Him.
When Your World is Upside Down...
When Your World is Upside Down…
You can tell when someone is praying if they “know God” or just “know about Him.” The author of Psalm 94 “knows God” intimately. He knows that in the end when all else around him is falling apart he can trust God who is the Avenger of all that is wrong. The author is really asking us this: When your life turns upside down where or to whom do you turn? Psalm 94 answers that question poignantly…

You need someone who would wake up early on a Saturday morning to toast bread, brew coffee and fry bacon because he knows how much you love breakfast and bacon.

Wait on Him. His timing and plans are always better than ours.
Reflecting on this photo I took a little over a year ago of a remarkably Spirit-filled beach trip I went on with four of my high school students...
At the time we were all in California; now, just a year later, Amy is in New York City, Jen is in SoCal, Alee is in Sydney, Australia, and Ian is in Ghana, Africa. Each of these students has a different story and yet they all have one thing in common: instead of striving, each one chose to wait on God’s perfect timing and provision in sending them where they felt He had called them to be. They trusted God with their future and they were rewarded. In return God who is true to His Word has showered them with mercy, compassion, and the joy that comes from the fulfillment of His perfect plan in our lives. They were faithful to wait on God and are now, as the His Word says, enjoying the blessing that comes with that.
These four inspiring students are witnesses to the transforming gospel of Jesus Christ, their lives surrendered to the glory of our Father in heaven. So today, trust you future to Him, the Almighty Creator of all things who loves you more than life itself, the author and perfecter of our faith!
