There's been so much Pierresteban lately I don't know what to think. To me, it seems pretty clear they are at least trying to mend bridges with one another.
I've said it before, and I stand by it, but 10 years from now, when they are retired and most drivers have lost touch, Pierre and Esteban will be in one another's lives. Hopefully as the close besties they once were before dealing with way more than kids should have.
One thing is absolutely certain, they loved each other and they remember that feeling.

I don't feel confident to speculate on what Real Person Fact is going to look like in the future (although your vision did immediately make me think of a line used in the summary of this brilliant fic which is now on my to-be-reread list) but the past is sooo deep as you say and the present is regularly hitting me with total curveballs. It's interesting because on the one hand it ought to be supremely normal for F1 drivers to talk about each other if they have any kind of relationship, let alone such an old and complex one, and I'm always catching myself back and cautioning myself not to make a huge meal out of crumbs, because on the surface of it, this shouldn't be remarkable at all, but like. Given the givens, with how one-sided or at least skewed the airtime has been historically in terms of "who tells the story of Pierresteban", from a Real Person Fiction fodder standpoint it is fun to wonder, why is Esteban finally going on the record about it now? Just because? To prove that he's at peace and not troubled/avoidant about it, i.e. because it would be weird to tell the interviewer it's a forbidden subject? Something to do with them finally having been teammates and gone head to head, and closing that chapter brought about, well, some deeper kind of closure? The Escape From Alpine factor and Esteban finally feeling secure in his future at Haas, allowing some old knots to untie themselves? New PR strategy involving a bit of Narratives & Myth-Making? MUCH to think about.

I am just absolutely overflowing with thoughts about todays stream and just need to write them down GAHHH, lotta text under the cut-
First I just wanna say cc!Bads acting was PHENOMENAL oh my god, everything was just so perfect and I am ABSOLUTELY FROTHING AT THE MOUTH in anticipation for tomorrows stream
Now, my thoughts. Theres some things that I’ve noticed. The most obvious one being the end, and everyone thinking Ron’s dead. For me I am COPING and LIVING IN DENIAL until otherwise lmao, but I do think its worth noting some things.
So, Bads stream on the 28th ended with Bad visiting Ron, and clearly something was wrong, he asked if Ron was done packing, then kept calling out to him before saying, “Oh my gosh, Ron.” Then yesterday’s stream, the 30th, on his end screen cc!Bad said that we’d find out what happened, as in past tense, and that we’d SEE Ron soon. Now with todays stream on the 1st, it kinda…confuses things. Because if we assume that todays stream is what q!bad was reacting to with Ron, that was FOUR DAYS AGO, so that would mean that todays stream on the 1st is canonically before the stream on the 28th. But if todays stream was before the 28th stream, that doesn’t make a lot of sense because of the stream yesterday, the 30th, where q!Bad had already started spiraling. Another weird thing with this timeline is why didn’t q!Bad remember what he did, and how did he get out of his spiraling? This makes me think that todays stream isn’t what q!Bad was reacting to on the 28th, so that begs the question of WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED FOUR DAYS AGO???
Another thing is the fact that we never actually saw Ron in the cell, and that just seems like such a weird thing to leave out? I find it especially weird because cc!Bad said explicitly that we would SEE Ron. His absence just seems so weird, why didn’t we see him? The only reason I can think of for not showing Ron is for suspense and cliffhanger purposes, this whole stream was to make us question, wonder whats real and what isn’t. But for lore reasons I don’t know. Another weird detail I noticed was that Ron’s cell had no light in it, and the soul torches outside it were gone. Again the only reason I can think of for this is for the creepy factor, but its still weird in lore.
Now, the ending. No matter what happened at the end, Im almost positive we’re gonna see Ron again because of cc!Bad outright saying we’ll see him again. Obviously whether or not he’ll be alive is…definitely questionable. BUT ALSO, we never actually heard the sounds of Ron dying, all we heard was chainsaw noises. ALSO ALSO, q!Bad told q!Foolish that he’d show him Ron, at the time, next week, and obviously many things have happened since then but, something to remember.
Last thing, almost every stream since q!Bad got Ron has ended, or began, with him going down/up Ron’s elevator, except for the two streams between today, the 1st, and the one four days ago, the 28th. Not sure of the significance but just an interesting detail.
Theres probably many other weird things I’ve forgotten or didn’t notice these past several days cause my brain has been overflowing after today GAH, so if none of this made sense thats why lmao
I just have SO many questions and I am SO EXCITED for tomorrow’s stream RAHHH, I cant stopping thinking about today it was SO GOOD. I hadn’t realized just how attached I was to Ron until today and just AAA. I love q!Bad so much, I feel so bad for him and need him to get help, I love Ron and I want him to be okay, just, AAAA. This is such a fucked up situation, if q!Bad really did do something to Ron its gonna feel like SUCH a gut punch after everything oh my GODDD my cubito what have you DONE TO USSSS
