“So this is how you would use it...It has the same sort of function as the AFSMTD but more specialized for moving around the road. It’s pretty interesting, though I bet I can give it better functions!” Cassy grinned while taking apart the motorcycle of a gang member that she got to take as reward for a bounty hunting job. While that sort of job wasn’t really her thing, it got her money. 

“Though this isn’t something I can just leave out for anyone to take, but I need some materials if I want to enhance this...” Humming and tapping her wrench lightly against her hand, yellow-green eyes shot up when hearing something rustle in the grass- blinking when seeing who it was.

“Huh, you’re that blond swordsman I trained with not too long ago!”

The tug of a familiar scent in unfamiliar city- however ephemeral and easy to lose it is among the teeming life of Spirale- guides her more certainly than the echoing melody of a flute, but when the latter reaches her ears, she redoubles her pace, a hopeful stride turning into a full-tilt run, even springing off some low-lying structures or bracing her feet against walls to move faster.

Waka may not have much time at all between laying eyes on her, and realizing that Amaterasu has absolutely no intention of slowing down.

Let’s... just hope that he’s in a position to get body-checked by a happy wolf who is determined to lick all of his face.

The sunlight filters through the leaves and dapples the ground below, shading the area from the worst of the summer heat and making this the perfect place for an afternoon nap. Sif was dozing off beneath the trees in the park when she hears a sound she hasn’t heard in a very long time - music.

The last time she had heard music was in the city of Anor Londo, over two-hundred years ago. When she was a pup, she couldn’t appreciate the sometimes shrill noises that came from instruments and hurt her ears. Now, not only does the sound bring about a sense of nostalgia, but she sees music as a form of communication. Creatures able to play instruments could put their thoughts and feelings into their songs without using words, much like how intelligent animals could communicate. She doesn’t recognize the instrument being played, but she would describe the song as ‘soulful’.

She raises her head, she tries to determine where the sound is coming from, but the noise is bouncing off the trunks of the trees, making it hard to pinpoint. Curiously, when she lifted her head she also caught the distinct smell of something she could only describe as ‘moonlight’. Certain that the sound and smell are originating from the same creature, Sif thinks that if she can’t find them, maybe she can lead them to her.

Standing fully, she lifts her head and begins to howl.

Raising and lowering the pitch of her voice, she mimics the melody passing through the trees.

“You’re saying you want to find some materials to enhance your house vacuum? It appears you’re looking in the wrong warehouse, I believe you would find much sturdier and higher quality attachments in the next one over. This collection is largely unsorted scrap.” Raine didn’t work here no, but she had been browsing to see if anything jumped out at her. It gave her some sense of normalcy to be searching for treasures.

“Though if it is weaponry you’re looking to outfit it with, perhaps it would be a wise idea to start with programming a remote control. Some kind of override function if it goes sideways. You know how touchy technology can be if a wire slips from its place.”

"What a lovely melody.”

In a strange new world without any leads, it was only natural that Fai would approach the first thing that beckoned his senses. In this particular case, his sense of hearing. The sound of a flute being played could be heard just a little ways off from the direction he was currently walking in, so all Fai had to do in order to reach the noise was alter his course just slightly. And what would you know! There was someone playing a flute after all! 

Perhaps he could learn something from this mysterious fellow. Clinging onto this hope, Fai pushed on.

“I’m sorry, I wasn’t trying to sneak up on you. May I ask you what you’re playing, stranger?”

✿           “do you play music??” martel asked, panpipe in hand. its melody was a a delicate, earthy tone, and it brought back many memories of joy and companionship. it wasn’t a common sound, however, by modern standards and as such brought much attention when she’d escape out to play. “it’s not a difficult thing. despite what they say, you can’t really do it wrong.”
