Realized I need to feed my Wakamomo need, so! :3 *Note: Done for Drabble On Ficathon 2025, for the prompt "cats." Also coupled with the drabble "not how that fairy tale goes" but can be read on its own.
Summary: In hindsight, Momoi and Wakamatsu realize they've been guaranteed to attend Himuro's Halloween party by their scheming friends.
-----
Her cheeks burn so bad, they must be redder than Akashi's hair—it's all Aomine's fault…!
"Going this way, too?"
Momoi turns to face Wakamatsu, hoping her scowl calms, but the sight of her former senpai in costume serves as reminder that this is Sakurai's fault, too…! "A-Ah, yes…"

Yup. I did it, rouge476. Presenting the two kids of Wakamatsu and Momoi, Ringo and Shiro, based on this fic. *rough info on the kids here*
Data/Background:
Ringo--
birthday: in the summer (have yet to pick dates for any of the kids, tbh)
age: 7 at the time of the story
fav color: orange (she claims it’s the opposite of Uncle Dai-chan, so Momoi approves)
personality: She takes after Aomine more than her parents would like--for example, she has a bit of a potty mouth. She’s a sporty girl whose grin says “I’ll wipe the basketball court with ya” (as seen above, *lol*). She doesn’t get hurt emotionally very easily, because she’s learned to pick up on people’s feelings and thoughts and stuff (kind of like using Momoi’s data analysis ability). She grows tall fast, before most of the boys in her class, but she stops growing in her 3rd yr of middle school--she blames her mother for her shortness after. XD Um, what else...? She likes dressing in slightly girly clothes--as in, she loves wearing skirts, but she would play basketball even in a skirt, so Wakamatsu and Aomine became the “Protect Ringo” squad and encourage her to wear pants or leggings or shorts under her skirt at the very least. Now those two doofuses will go shopping for leggings for her together. Momoi and Sakurai are a little worried... Oh, and she loves her gray hoodie, kind of like one Aomine wears.
friendships: She’ll pick on her brother as happens with siblings, but she loves him a lot. She gets along okay with Himitsu (MidoTaka’s daughter), likes that Kippei (HyuuRiko’s son) can keep up with her, and finds Tama (KagaKuro’s son) infuriately smart and cute.
endgame: It’ll be RingoTama when they’re older. -w-
Shiro--
birthday: in the winter
age: 4 at the time of the story
fav color: white (like his name--he’s actually a bit of a narcissist)
personality: Quiet. Unfortunately for Wakamomo, also somewhat like Sakurai (mostly that stubborn streak). He seems slow but is, like his sister and mother, observant--he can figure out how to manipulate those around him. For instance, see that “Please give me cookies” face? He knows you’ll give him cookies. He’s not really into basketball or athletics, but his parents don’t mind that. Shiro is very smart, on the other hand, which makes his manipulative personality that much more frightening, tbh... While his sister is energetic and rather flashy, he’s very basic and prefers plain things, from food to music to clothing, hence his outfit here--though the fancier the cookies, the bigger those eyes get. Speaking of eyes, with his coloring, people tend to think of little Shiro as a white rabbit, but again he uses that to his advantage. He doesn’t use his powers for evil, though, *lol*. Oh, and he admires his dad a lot--they actually do a lot of things together.
friendships: He lets Ringo think she picks on him, but he can more than handle it; he does love her. He and Tama (when they’re older) will be a little too evenly matched, wits for wits, so there’s this kind of stalemate friendship between them (though Shiro’s not above putting Tama through trouble when RingoTama begins to rear its ugly head). He doesn’t really play with Kippei or Kaya (Tsuchida’s daughter) when she’s older... In general, Shiro will keep to himself. However, Himitsu amuses him and challenges him from time to time. He ends up keeping an eye on her.
endgame: ShiroHimitsu, when they’re older
Other notes:
both siblings use the kanji for their names
Momoi suggested “Shiro” as a name when her son was born & Wakamatsu liked it, but he doesn’t know (and prolly never will) that it was Momoi’s last reminder of her dwindled romantic feelings for Kuroko (”Shiro” is “white,” the opposite of “Kuro”--”black,” for anyone who may not know)
Wakamatsu is the one who does Ringo’s pigtails, because Momoi brushes her hair too hard (according to Ringo)
the family does a lot of things together, like go to amusement parks and such
Ringo isn’t pushed to play basketball but is encouraged by her parents and Uncle Dai-chan and Uncle Ryou
Sakurai tries teaching Shiro how to draw and cook since it occurs to the adults that the kid doesn’t have many interests, but Shiro doesn’t try it--he just eats the end results
Regarding the picture, materials used were: Copic multiliners (various sizes in wine), Copic markers, white Sakura Gelly Roll, Faber Castell PITT pen (superfine in sanguine), and Marvy Le Pen pens. Text done in MS Paint.
I’ll work on the other kids mentioned in the fic as I color their pics. (◕‿◕✿)
And the last of the height difference series. -w- This is a major OTP for me, too, and works well since I ship Aosaku. But seriously, think about it--they'd get along most of the time, except for moments when he's horribly like a guy and just *asdfghjkl* "Don't touch me while you're sweaty, Wakamatsu-senpai!" "Ehh? Hmm, oh, sorry." ;D
Materials: Prismacolor illustration pens (various sizes in black), Copic multiliner (0.05 in cobalt), Copic markers, white Milky pen, and Paper Mate Flair pens.
The shadows on her sweatshirt look really nice... -w-
She’s lost track of all the time she’s spent studying for entrance exams until he appears next to her, a steaming mug of what looks and smells like hot chocolate in his hand. He kisses her on the forehead.
“How is it?”
“Boring,” she replies. “What time is it?”
“Ten after five.”
Well, fuck. No wonder she’s hungry and thirsty and tired enough for the words to swim on the page even when she grits her teeth. He hands her the mug and she sighs, leaning back into the cushions.
“Thanks, Kousuke-kun.”
“No problem. I figured you needed a break.”
She smiles. “I haven’t thrown the book across the room yet.”
Kousuke blushes; several times when he’d been studying for his own exams last year he’d ended up sending the book crashing into the wall. Satsuki’s of the opinion that books like these, as conducive as they are to learning, probably deserve it, even if she doesn’t lose her temper as easily as Kousuke does.
She places the book on the coffee table and takes a sip of hot chocolate. It’s warm and rich; she smiles contentedly as Kousuke plays with her hair. This is the perfect pick-me-up.
Wakamatsu looks paralyzed the first time she kisses him, like he’s just been stung by a jellyfish or something, and it’s so adorable that Momoi pulls him down by his collar and kisses him again—this time he manages to kiss her back by the end, at least. Honestly, she couldn’t wait around forever and he was fumbling like he was going to do it and she’s more than glad she went for it. It’s not just because he tasted sweet or because his hands properly found her hips or because it’s better than she imagined it would be but because of the ridiculous grin on his face afterwards and the way he says her name and the way he holds her close and finally kisses her.
Satsuki carefully constructs multiple facades, hides the doors where they can’t be seen easily and is stingy with the keys. Daiki’s gotten himself locked within a deeper circle; Imayoshi snuck part of the way in but never got that far; Kise had asked too nicely for the keys for her to refuse; she’d offered almost all of the keys to Tetsu but he’d refused them every time.
And then Kousuke had leaped over all of the walls at once. He still hasn’t realized it; it’s possible he didn’t see them at all and it’s possible her subconscious had gotten the better of her and slyly handed him the keys and a map. It’s not a bad thing; he’s everything she’s ever wanted in a lover and in a best friend, too short-tempered but insanely loyal and actually quite intelligent. He loves basketball the way she does, needs to be around the game in some capacity, playing or coaching or watching or doing something, anything. They can talk about this for hours or let it lie between them quietly like a basketball would, the way a basketball does when they’re on the bus back from the park where he practices and she analyzes his game, leaning against one another and smiling.
And he will guard the doors to her walls the way he guards the hoop, batting back opposing players with a scowl and a shout; he will fight to the last for her and some days she wonders how she got so lucky.
Guardian for WakaMomo ((aha;; thought it was self-explanatory, sorry!))
Send me a "Guardian" and I'll write a drabble about one character swearing to always keep the other safe
Was she flustered? At least to him it seemed like she was. It wasn't an unnatural occurence, Momoi Satsuki to come into the gymnasium all beefed up after what would seem like an argument with their ace, Aomine Daiki. It also wasn't such a rare thing for Wakamatsu to be completely clueless as to what was going on. However, after picking up the captains position, things did seem to change. With great power came great responsibility Of course he wouldn't understand each and every member of the team, but there were certain people whom he knew very well
With great power came great responsibility
Of course he wouldn't understand each and every member of the team, but there were certain people whom he knew very well, at least much better than others.
Even after practice was over, the attitude kept in the air around the girl. Though it wasn't naturally up to the captain to work on it, he'd be the one staying behind, cleaning up. You could call it over-enthusiasm, or perhaps a sudden sense wavering over him to help her out. Hoops weren't a big deal to get out of the way, and balls were just collecting them, making sure they all made it back to the sports shed.
"Momoi...?" Wakamatsu said, obviously showing concern for their own manager. She stayed silent, facing away from him. "Oi, what's up, you gotta talk to me..." It wasn't usual he would get this intimate for lack of a better word with her. Even because of the situation, he'd be blushing. I mean, showing legitimate concern for a beautiful, voluptuous woman would make any man even a little uncomfortable.
He really wasn't in the mood for this silent treatment, he was tired, and just wanted to get home for a long soak in the bath. Captaincy would take it's toll on anyone, especially if they had to put up with Aomine. The blonde stood up from next to Momoi, scratched the back of his head with a casual wave smoothly stringing itself from that.
"So uhh I'll see you around..." he said nonchalantly. Walking out the back entrance of the gym, it was the closest to them anyway, he pulled his phone out with the sun's rays beating down on them with the setting. Going through the messages, simply texting her just to make sure she was truly okay. The pinkette did have it quite rough: Aomine to deal with, a difficult team to manage on top of that, he'd do anything to try and ease that load in any way possible. It wasn't a long message, just something working from a premonition of his, that she'd recently gotten into another fight with their ace.
"i'll make sure that bastard doesn't touch u"
Communication with a text was so much easier than a face-to-face confrontation, even something which was supposed to be so meaningful like this. Wakamatsu wasn't always the best with words, in fact he could be comparable to a barbarian with vocabulary. Either way, his vicarious efforts would only be told on whether she took the message to heart or not.
