Wake Studio - Zant (Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess), 1/6 and 1/4

Wake Studio's finally putting Midna up for preorder on Monday. To be available in 1/6 and 1/4 scales, measurements are in the bottom right corner of the image but for those who can't make out the numbers very well: 1/4: Height-53cm/Width-31cm/Length-20cm 1/6: Height-36cm /Width-21cm/Length-13.5cm

No clue on pricing yet but expect her to be around the same price point as their other Twilight Princess scale resins

Wake Studio's 1/4 and 1/6 Twilight Princess Link are going up for preorder later this week, prices TBD but expect him to fall in the 300-500$ range.

They also announced if you order any two figures from the Twilight Princess line, you're entitled to a VIP gift. They plan to make a figure of Zant as their VIP gift, though he can be purchased upon preorder at a later date.

I finally got around to unboxing Wake Studio's Fierce Deity Link, pictures and review are below the cut per usual:

The box has an all-over print which looks nice. I ordered the 1/4 EX which comes with poses A & B and two bases. Poses A & B come in two seperate boxes with one base each, the boxes are identical in print and size.

Some of the inner foam packaging, standard soft black foam. There's two tiers, the majority of the pieces are in the top tier and the base and a few other parts are in the bottom tier. Upon pulling the foam packaging out you're greeted by both a numbered authenticity card and an "oil-paint" printed cloth poster. The foam packaging is seemingly identical for both poses A & B. Unfortunately there's no parts layout this time, my phone's camera decided to act up and blur a good chunk of the photos I took and I didn't notice until I started working on photo editing. There's not a whole lot of parts for each figure, and they were relatively straight-forward to put together.

Here's both A & B assembled. The 1/4 Fierce Deity Link clocks in at around 45-46cm in height, he is Fucking Massive™. On top of being massive, the EX base (on the left) is very hefty. Fully assembled, the EX has to weigh at least 20 pounds if I had to make a guess. I honestly fear for the stability of the shelf I have him placed on lmao

Something I didn't get pictures of is how Fierce Deity Link's face and hat seperate, Wake Studio included a mini LED to stick into his head to make his eyes light up; the EX base lights up as well and has a USB plug (also includes a remote to presumably turn the LED function on/off and cycle through light patterns)

My only gripes are: A) Odolwa's ear-rings are painted silver, they sort of blend into the base and I feel painting them blue per the official art and in-game models would've helped them stand out more; B) Wake Studio shortened Fierce Deity quite a bit. He's supposed to be something like 8 feet tall at full size and this 1/4 scale, doing rough math, tops out at 6ish feet at 1/1 scale. I estimate him to be around 1/5.5 instead as a result of my rough mathing of his height. I likely am wrong about exact heights/actual estimated scale (I was never good at math), but Wake Studio did confirm during preproduction Fierce Deity's 1/4 scale is shorter than he should be. They claim he would've been too big and nobody would've bought the 1/4 scale, which I find to be a ridiculous statement.

All that being said though, Wake Studio did a fantastic job on these, though I am kind of wondering if I should have bought the 1/6 scale instead due to the EX base's massive footprint and weight :v

In terms of price, I paid 709$ USD for this and shipping to the US was 138$ USD, which I find to be a fair price considering I get two figures and two bases to display both at the same time; plus the bonus "oil paint" printed cloth poster they included with every order.

Wake Studio's Riju (1/6) showed up yesterday, more photos and commentary under the cut

The art box, it just has Riju's figure printed on it. Pretty standard but I do like the close-up sideview and how it overlaps onto the side of the box.

Upon opening the box, I was greeted with fancy-looking envelope, inside is a card with the concept art and final product printed on it.

The foam packaging is pretty standard, soft black foam and also comes in 2 parts.

Here's everything unpacked, lots of tiny pieces. I didn't take photos of the assembly process, I'm currently sick and didn't really want to put a lot of effort into this post. I ended following Wake Studio's assembly video on Facebook, a couple parts of the assembly process are a bit confusing.

A close-up of the certificate card, I got no. 16 out of an edition size of 100 (for the 1/6 scale)

Here she is fully assembled~ Personally, I'm happy with how she turned out, I couldn't find any flaws with her besides her being a bit finnicky to put together. She fits nicely on my Zelda shelf, I'll eventually provide a photo. I paid 305$ USD for her plus another 40$ USD for sea shipping which took about a month and a half to arrive. This has me excited to open my Fierce Deity Link EX 1/4 that I also ordered from Wake Studio. I'll be making a post about him when I'm feeling better and can make shelf space for him.
