Kevin Morton has already begun to deliver on his words from his mayoral campaign; hosting a community charity picnic to help raise money and show support for Wakefield’s families in need. As well as he has asked multiple business to assist in this event, giving them the chance to promote themselves.
This event is to take place Sunday 23rd May and will be an all day affair, with all residents encouraged to come along, set up a blanket and get involved! Be sure to tag any event starters or other event related posted with wakefieldevent03.

Charcoal Grill, Egglectic & The Magnolia Inn are helping with the cookout but residents are welcome to bring their own BBQs to help out in they so wish.
Davenport Orchard will have a juice stand providing various freshly squeezed juices & lemonade.
Priscilla’s Parlour will be popping up her famous tent to sell ice creams & slushies.
The Winchester & Pitcher Perfect Bar are having a cocktail & mocktail stand for everyone to enjoy.
Bean There Done That are going to have a coffee stand so don’t worry, even during the picnic everyone will be able to get their caffeine fix.
Hugs ‘N’ Bakes will have a cookie decorating stand for all ages, but with a separate table for the little ones.
Holy Tandoori (previously Holy Smoke) will have a stand showcasing their up and coming menu, giving all of Wakefield a taste of what is to come.
Sugar Shack will be making sure everyone gets their sugar highs by having a sweet stall selling various candies and chocolates.
First Steps will be having a face painting which is open to all ages and parents are always encouraged to get involved.
Crafts & Creations are planning to have a craft stall where all ages will be able to colour a varied selection of pictures, make friendship bracelets & easy bake clay models for the kids to decorate
Mai Tea will be setting up it’s first tent to sell tea, and special for the picnic, iced and sweet tea.
Aliana Sánchez will set up her stand serving fresh empanadas and arepas with your choice of filling and topping.
