Hold up, she accesses The Dreaming? Like Sandman's The Dreaming?
Here's how I as a Ruin fan can still win
The Dreaming: Waking Hours (2020—2021) cover art by Nick Robles
heather after is great trans rep because it like. it doesnt matter at all. this is how we’re told shes trans and then it never really comes up in the series until the very end where they try to control her with her deadname and it doesnt even work.
we never get her lecturing the cis characters on how important it is that shes trans, we never get an arc about how hard it is for her to be trans, we don’t even need to have flashbacks of her coming out or her awkwardly explaining it to an otherworldly being who doesn’t get the idea. not that those stories shouldn’t be told, I just like that she’s just a disaster of a sorceress who just kinda happens to be trans and the only time it comes up is when puck goes haha i know your secret i shall control you now hehehe and then it doesnt even work
Ruin (2020)
Did this around when the 5th issue of Waking Hours came out and I was completely invested in the story and the characters because G Willow Wilson is a fantastic writer and I pretty much enjoy anything that Nick Robles is involved in. I love the Sandman Universe and all the stories that come from it...
Featuring Ruin a Nightmare from the comic The Dreaming: Waking Hours.
🟦 SONG OF THE DAY 📆 16th January 2021 🎶 “NOTHING EVER HAPPENS” 🏴 DEL AMITRI 💿 Waking Hours (1989)
And nothing every happens, nothing happens at all. The needle returns to the start of the song and we’ll all sing along like before. And we’ll all be lonely tonight, and lonely tomorrow...
Yep.
