Idol Operation Chapter 27
“Sometimes, when you’re tired and out of breath Stop and sit, look at the sky Listen, we’re all different, we can’t be the same...”
The road to being an actress is very different from being an idol. Everyone knows that. It’s a basic information. Idols tend to train more on their dancing and vocals while actresses train hard in controlling their emotions and working on the way you say he script. Moo never knew why the company decided to give her a second chance that she couldn’t cope up with. She herself couldn’t even understand herself further as to why she didn’t quit and choose another company. Maybe because its one of the big three in the entertainment world and everything would be a waste.
If being an idol is hard and tiring because of the physical works then being an actress is harder since you need to have a great mental capability to control the emotions that bubble within you with each character you portray. Singing has never been easy at this situation for Moo, because in her mind, singing has been her escape from reality. Singing will never change who you are and who you wanted to be. But acting is more difficult. Acting is portraying someone you are not. Acting is leaving your true self and escaping the reality by being someone you never even knew and never even met.
To others dancing may seem easy. To Moo dancing is difficult, because each movement symbolizes something you want to show to the public, but dancing is her only ticket to freedom. Then again there’s acting which is way harder than dancing. Some might say its really easy but in Korea, acting means being natural in the way you move yourself while being cuffed with the emotions you need to show and the lines you need to say. Acting means the way of behaving and leaving your reactions to the lines. Acting means something that is pretty much different from dancing. Acting is the lock while Dancing is like a cloud drifting away each minute.
And Moo hated every second of it.
Because she isn’t a puppet that is thrown to a suffocating set filled with cameras, directors, co-actors and actresses, stylists, producers, editors and script writers.
She is Moo and she is an idol.
