As a woman in America, I try to find the balance of being a wife, a mother, and have a career. I am finding out, we can’t have it all, but if I can find myself in being a decent human being…than I am doing something right.
I’ve #walkaway once I knew Trump was running for president. It was clear what the American people needed.
When Trump was elected I had posted my “horray” on FB that suddenly the nasty comments and people unfriended me bc I supported a “Nazi.” I immediately deleted my “horray” post and hid behind the scene of Trumps Victory of Presidency. I couldn’t even say out loud who I voted for and if I did, I knew I would be bullied for it.
I was at a party when my friend whispered in my ear, “our guy won, but shhh dont say anything.” I knew exactly why, but I hated how I couldn’t even say who I voted for without feeling maybe someone will attack me.
The left stands in streets to burn our flag, screams at the people who dont agree with them, and destroy property. This type of violent behavior is hate and I am not that person. This is not me. I am a person of love and a person who respects others even if we dont agree.
We forget about the people and who we are America when we no longer stand for the pledge of allegiance. When some people wont stand for American anthem. The Starbucks coffee cups! Shooting at police officers?! Burning flags?! Who’s Republican who’s Democrat?! Who’s white who’s black?! America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.
I voted for Trump and I will no longer feel ashamed to say so. I voted for him bc I know as an American, what America needs. We need change to come together and unite as Americans, not hate Americans.
