Guide to Maskotian Fauna - The Stinging Polyp
This caste of walking polyp is sometimes mistaken for an entirely different species among its brethren. While they often serve a queen, individual polyps are fully capable of splitting off and making a living on their own. Stinging Polyps in particular excel at hindering and bringing down soft-bodied beachgoers. When hunting in large groups, they're even capable of killing Gwolls and other blubbery behemoths.
