Hell would be an understatement, things always went to shit so damn quickly so Peeta never had a moment to  breath or catch his breath. It wasn’t easy, but somehow the blond was still going and he had survived this long with no intention of ever going down or becoming one of the walkers. He had seen too many good people turn, too many people give up on their own life and just end it the easy way. He had gotten separated from the group he was travelling with, walkers had split them up on their way towards a supposed safe haven for survivors, he had heard that before, but he had faith. 

A nearby sound caught his attention, so without putting himself at risk he took a look, glancing behind a bush with his gun held up, looking out and seeing someone struggling with a walker. The back of his head told him no, but he helped anyway, taking careful hint and firing, sending the bullet straight into the infected’s head. But Peeta didn’t stop, he quickly stepped out, standing up and the gun held forward, keeping an aim on the  stranger. He didn’t recognize him, part of him hoped it would be someone from his group but it wasn’t. 

               “Put the weapon down and tell me who                   you are, and what are you doing here?”
