The explosion was so close that the school building shook. Peter’s head shot up immediately jerking towards the windows and his eyes widened at the thick black smoke blotting out the skyline. He had to get out there. The teacher was trying frantically to regain order to his classroom and Peter used the chaos that came with a tragedy intermixed with teenagers to slip out the door and into the alleyway behind the school.

He was halfway changed before he noticed that someone already there. Changing into a super suit. Not a superHERO suit, but it was a super suit nonetheless. Specifically it was Avalanche’s suit. 

Lance Alver was Avalanche. How did he not know that? It wasn’t like the bucket he called a helmet hid anything. 

“So um...” He said the only thing he could think of. “This is awkward.”
