Hey everyone!
So the acceptances are pouring in—we have a few more to make graphics for and announce. First of all, to those that made it in, congratulations! We’re excited to have you with us! But you know that and we’ll be making a lot of posts to do with you guys. This post, however, goes out to those who didn’t get in.
Unfortunately, while a lot of positive reception and buzz generating around the group is a great thing, it also meant that we received several applications for some of the more popular characters. Many of them blew us away with the effort that clearly went into them—however, after much deliberation, we did have to choose one. Saying that makes me feel like Tyra on ANTM. ( Also, yes, we did discuss doing doubles because many applications were that good but, sadly, that doesn’t make much sense for us and will detract from the structure of the roleplay here. )
Scott and I genuinely feel terrible for having to turn away all of you skilled writers, especially because we can see how much work you put into your blogs and how you connect with your muses. Please, please don’t take this as a critique to your writing or how you portray your character because I guarantee you it’s not—chances are we loved your application. Honestly, sometimes it did come down to splitting hairs. So don’t feel bad if you weren’t accepted—and thank you so much for even applying in the first place!
We’re so humbled and grateful you wanted to be a part of this group and, hopefully, we can still rp outside of the group because all of you are seriously amazing! Once again, so many apologies!
