Whoops, I forgot to share some Twitch emotes I've made recently! I made this a few months ago for my Yoshi's Island playthrough on Twitch, which gets spammed in chat whenever I touch a fuzzy in that game. :3

from what you have seen, did the mutation process ever produce any "weird" alicorns? on a related note, your opinion on the stories of a wall-eyed blue alicorn who randomly appears and boops noses before leaving?
I have actually heard this urban legend of the wasteland. Wall-eyed blue alicorn suddenly appears. Most people expect a fight, only to receive a boop on the nose before she flies off. I’ve never actually encountered this particular alicorn, but yes I have heard of her. I’m not sure if that weirdness is a result of the Goddess’ destruction and resulting mental trauma, or some kind of problem with the original transformation.
As for other ‘weird’ alicorns, I haven’t heard of any. Alicorns only really became prevalent in the wasteland over the same time period that Red Eye rose to power (which makes sense, given their alliance). Prior to that, their numbers would have been sparse, possibly due to imperfect transformations or a lack of subjects (willing or otherwise) to convert. I suspect that weird alicorns, such as the wall-eyed booper, are older alicorns. Either their transformations were imperfect, or their bond to the Goddess had existed longer, resulting in more unpredictable effects when she was killed.

But seriously, I don't even think they have optometrists in either Ponyville or Cloudsdale. And they won't let me into Canterlot without an official escort after an incident at the Grand Galloping Gala with a muffin tray and the Wonderbolts...
