Wallace & Barnes is one of those sub-lines that really is the reason a lot of people still resonate or stop by a certain store; RRL strikes me as another one of those.

I know it’s that way for me at J. Crew, which has largely lost it’s way in the last 5 years. Time will tell if Brendon B. will turn the ship around, but until then, I can always just check the small section of W&B and find some truly awesome pieces, like this guayabera, which I didn’t even know that’s what it was until it came in.

I love the pattern on this one - almost like a bunch of bandanas stitched together. The quality is great, I think I got this for something ridiculous like $40 shipped. Sift through the racks - digital or in person - for some W&B next time you’re at/on J. Crew.

Sometimes, even a quick run to the store deserves more than shorts and a t-shirt, even in times like these. Throwing on a few season-appropriate items takes low effort when you have thoughtfully curated a wardrobe - I find myself leaning more into workwear these days, and trying to find ways to get it more offbeat. Feel free to comment your favorite workwear pieces.

I am still breaking in these Unbranded brand raw denim jeans, but the Bean Boots have seen almost a decade of action, and the thrifted flannel, while in great condition, is so slubby it looks like it could be drom another era.

Especially in times like these when it’s hard to even throw something intricate on when there’s not much going on outside, it’s nice to know there’s still a lot to be appreciated in simple basics.
