Walls.

Oh, people these days are just so smart.

They know. They know what pain feels like. And so, they want to protect themselves. And they build these huge fortresses around themselves. (Metaphorically speaking for most people.)

They're afraid, yet defiant. They want to wall themselves up because so long as nothing can get to them or see them or interact with them, they won't get hurt.

Guess what? You're hurting yourself.

We close ourselves off too easily nowadays. We're afraid to make friends, to explore, and to trust people. Because a lot of times, they abuse your trust, and then you feel hurt.

But stop building walls and going into denial. What good does that do you? It makes you miserable, that's what it does.

Go out and explore this vast, wide world. And stop letting little things bother you, because in the big picture, none of that matters.
