Mark Waid is a  testament to how even good writers aren’t universally applicable to anything.

An Eisner award winner, author of all time greats like Kingdom Come, iconic runs on Daredevil, the Flash and the Fantastic Four...cannot write Spider-Man for shit.

I wish Marvel would stop just handing Spider-Man over to any Tom Dick or Harry writer with street cred to their name and instead actually think hard if their previous work is indicative that they get the character, or at least like have a chat with them to see if they know their stuff.
