Every bite of these delectable biscotti contains the rich flavors of maple and crunchy walnuts. Ideal for dipping in your preferred hot beverage!
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1/4 cup pure maple syrup. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Instructions: Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up. Put parchment paper on the bottom of a baking sheet. The softened butter and granulated sugar should be mixed together in a bowl. Mix the ingredients together until they are smooth and creamy. Mix the vanilla extract and maple syrup into the butter. Combine well. Mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined. Add the chopped walnuts and mix well. Lay the dough out on the baking sheet that has been prepared. Shape it into a log. To make it look like biscotti, flatten it out a bit. Before you put the biscotti log in the oven, heat it up. Bake it for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it turns golden brown and feels firm. After taking the log out of the oven, let it cool for about 15 minutes. Bring the oven's temperature down to 325F 160C. Use a sharp knife to cut the biscotti log into 1/2-inch thick slices across the grain after it has cooled. After putting the sliced biscotti back on the baking sheet, bake it for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the slices are golden and crisp. Combine 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup in a bowl. Set it aside while you toast the biscotti. Spread the maple glaze on top of the toasted biscotti slices. Wait for the glaze to set up before you serve. Serve and have fun!
