🔵CHAPTER 152: THE RIPPER STRIKES BACK🔵 Joe and Michael had the suspect on a cell of the Leman Street police station, waiting for Reid and Abberline to come and start the interrogation. Michael: I hope that's him. Joe: Yeah, me too... When they arrived, they came inside the cell, and asked Michael and Joe to wait outside. Reid: So you are the ripper! Man: No, I am nit. Abberline: A serial killer would say that. Man: I wanted to catch him, as you do... It is a diguise! Reid: No way! - he stretched the man's beard, and he removed it -. But... Man: I'm Walter Sickert, the painter... They took him to their desk. Abberline: You must explain to us all your whereabouts for all the nights that women were attacked. Walter: I have the witnesses and all. He started to explain his story. Michael and Joe were there too. They couldn't believe it that this man wasn't the Whitechapel monster either! They had to release him, but they were upset for yet another failure. #victorianplaymo #whitechapel1888 #WalterRichardSickert #WalterSickert #edmundreid #fredabberline #abberline #victorianinspiration #victorianLondon #asambleaplaymobil #playmobil #victorianeastend #lemanstreet (at 38 Leman Street) https://www.instagram.com/p/BrSPWBHFOoQ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=111mq2sfk31jz

Walter Richard Sickert
Walter Richard Sickert, one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century, was born on this day in 1860. He introduced the subjects and techniques of the French Impressionists into English art.
The Brighton Pierrots, 1915.
Sickert first set out to be an actor and theatrical life inspired many of his works. This oil painting was made after five weeks of watching and drawing a troupe perform on the sea front.
Gaieté Montparnasse, dernière galerie de gauche, 1906.
He also created numerous paintings and etchings of music-hall interiors, including the Théâtre de la Gaîté-Montparnasse in Paris. This work is among Sickert’s most daring paintings of music-halls, the vibrant colours accentuating the vertiginous sweep of the balcony.
Ennui, 1917-18.
