im not a furry but i think fursonas r fun,, do you think a swan would translate well??? my major concerns are the long neck and short legs

an excellent question! avian fursonas are always difficult to design, and a weirdly proportioned one would certainly be more difficult.

make sure not to over think your design though, and ask yourself this one simple question: Is my furry character, an animal skin pulled over a human skeleton, or an animal walking upright, with the mannerisms of a human?

if your furry is more like a human wearing an animal shaped suit, then i would suggest averaging the proportions more toward human, so that the structure makes more visual sense.

if your furry is more like a zootopian, upright animal, kinda furrson, then it would be a better idea to maintain the characteristics of its odd shaped animal bod

well no, not really, I mean it’s easy to be out on tumblr, but in real life, I’ve never had to come out to anyone.  The closest I have come was with my brother, because he talks about his girlfriends a lot, and so I was basically just saying, I really can’t relate to that stuff - he asked me if I was straight or gay, and I just said I’m not really either and left it at that. At that time I really was still in the process of working out my own sexuality sobut anyway I’m pretty sure my family knows, even if they don’t know what they know, because I’ve literally never had a girlfriend and I never talk about having crushes on people (because I never have crushes)
