New year, new ‘fangs.
Okay not really, she’s still mostly the same. Just bigger monster form. And hairstyle. So some parts of the ref were totally just scavenged from last year’s reference.
My silly fursona for whom this account is named, Cringe the clown!! :•)
Cringe is a paradoxical chaos entity who is, and knows, everything and nothing all at once! It manages to keep a stable form by copying things it sees, but having that much in your brain is a little overwhelming, so it tends not to blend in to reality quite right. Most of the time, it bases its form off of PBJ, its gracious mortal host and best friend!

love when people’s fursonas are just. yoshi. like a yoshi with hair, or a yoshi with sunglasses. or a sword. i love it. its always good.
Im finally watching the lion king remake. Its about as bad as i expected.
One thing i really hate is the voice acting. So emotionless. Maybe the total lack of emoting on the animals faces is exaserbating the problem, but every scene thats supposed to be emotional is just boring.
Also, the songs are bad. Be prepared sucked so much. At least most of the other songs had interesting backgrounds and movement.
And on a deeper level, i want to point out how making the visuals as "realistic" as possible really ruins the story.
Lions having a monachy only makes sense in the cartoony, anthropamorphic world of a talking animal movie. But the remake does everything it can to distance itself from that kind of world.
Suddenly you cant help but go "it makes no sense for these animals to have a ruling class", because the movie openly invites viewers to see the animals not as people, but as much more literal animals.
all the furries who adore the original lion king adore it not for its realism, but specificly because of the human commentary to be found among the fantastical unrealistic and exceptionally relateable animal characters.
So sick of this fetish disney has for remaking everything popular they have, and turning their bellies over for an audience that doesnt exist, of people who liked the originals, but also hate everything about their visuals and only want bland photo realism with no color or movement or charm.
Also the themes of imperialism and the divine right of kings, which were the most in need of addressing, are only made more uncomfortably promenant and unchallenged in the remake.
i made a gif of my sona for the carrd the commission infos going to be on nice …
Raphael.... the raven.
shape: a great example of building on simplicity. egg shape is as basic as it gets. but that is a very recognisable silhouette, due in no small part to the cute little hairs and big weird frekin feet. 2/2
Color: the color of raphael is actually pretty basic, but the style of the game he’s in makes all his colors render in a more colorful way. you can see the warm and cold highlights on the surface of his skin very clearly, since there arent a lot of competing colors and patterns in the way. 2/2
Originality: i get the sense that this character started as a blob and then they just decided afterwords it was a bird. my favorite method of character design. 2/2
Anatomy: the feeet. i cant. the feet are so funny but so so uncomfortable. im like a deer in the headlights. i cant stop looking in time to get away. 1/2
Je Ne Sais Quoi: the juxtaposition of the simplicity of his design with the terror of his feet is so powerful. raphael’s visage radiates raw power. if you bottled it up and drank it you’d die but it would taste amazing. 2/2
final score: 9/10
raphael the raven is my 4th favorite mario character of all time. i love him so so much but his feet scare me.
havent seen Brand New Animal, havent seen beastars, and i didnt like aggretsuko.
gonna get my furry card revoked
🦁🌺🎉🌈🃏I am an awesome clown lion!!!
Look what my brother got me for my birthday!!!!!
Gargomon having pawpads actually makes sense, because it's not a rabbit. It's a dog.
actually its a digimon. haha checkmate
me and my elite team of researchers have determined that gargomon was, in fact, meant to be a dog at one point.
but thats stupid so im gonna ignore it.
Gargomon having pawpads actually makes sense, because it's not a rabbit. It's a dog.

i have become a digimon fan and i want to talk about my favorite digimon, gargomon
shape: not only is the sihlouette very good, the overall shape is very structurally sound. gargomon is shaped like a pyramid. the strongest shape very strudy, very strong. nothing can knock them over. 2/2
Color: very easy on the eyes, with a few saturated colors to draw attention to points of interest. and ya gotta love that soft green. 2/2
Originality: a lot of people mock the design elements of digimon, and how so many digimon are “animal with gun” or “an angel robot”. and yeah, many digimon fall into similar categories. but calling gargomon an “animal with gun” is such an oversimplification. gargomon is so much more than that. and be honest, how many furries in media are actually giant rabbits with baggy pants and machine guns for hands? its inspired. its breathtaking. 2/2
Anatomy: gargomon is one of those “rabbit” creatures with paw pads. i’ve criticized paw pads on rabbits before, but this is a case where im not at all bothered by it. gargomon is clearly more of a weird monster than a real life rabbit. and having unrealistic feet actually makes the machine gun hands, baggy jeans, horn, and war paint feel more natural. 2/2
Je Ne Sais Quoi: look at that face. they’re so happy, so cheerful, and fun, but capable of so much violence. and its not at all in the way an edgy middleschool sonic oc would be cute and violent. gargomon’s kindness and raw power arent in opposition to eachother, they are both integral halfs of the same nature. and really, isnt that exactly what we need? kindness and violence, working as one. 2/2
final score: 10/10 i love gargomon so much. i found this really cool gargomon action figure online but its like 150 dollars so thats too bad. maybe someday i’ll get it after i save my money. i love gargomon and i love action figures and they would be great for my collection. i guess i should just try and be happy for what i already have, but what can i say? i love stuff
