steeples my fingers aight so I know I’ve been trying to ( badly ) explain my thoughts but let’s try this again, shall we !! you’re getting a bulleted list cause I’m not coherent enough for a paragraph:
firstly --- Percy sees Lance as a very safe presence ?? like he genuinely feels a lot better when Lance is around ( what a parent is SUPPOSED to be ). he regularly seeks Lance out for no other reason than to sit with him ?? though, he actively seeks Lance out to talk to as well ( you know the healthy thing for once; what’s troubling him / etc ) because he’s one of the few people Percy feels like he can talk with and actually does talk to. which is a huge character development leap Woah™
secondly --- Percy thoroughly enjoys sparring with him && this is important cause Percy doesn’t trust himself not to hurt people so the fact he actually practices with him I cry which is high Key why it deserves to be mentioned ( though, you know Percy’s hangups over the whole thing generally so... )
thirdly --- ‘m sorry but every argument is invalid that’s not “Percy stans Lance” because this ?? idk to me its not just a father/son thing but like they’re ?? genuinely good friends ?? and I love it and the layer of complexity it adds to their dynamic
