Just want to see how far I've come in wand-making!
The wand on the left was my very first attempt from last year, and the one on the right was last 31 March 2026.
Both have the exact same materials with different execution.
Here's the close-up (?) view of my new wand.
But no one can beat the OG Ollivander!
Trivia: The latest one was supposed to be an attempt on Ominis Gaunt's wand. But I felt like I did something wrong with the details, so I ended up with another original wand BUT inspired by Ominis' wand. My new wand is 14.5" in length, while the first one is 12-13" long.
Okay, who snitched? I spent ten-thousand years of perceptual time in wizard-jail, and I am pissed. Nothing will distract me from my vengeance! Not even talking about one of my favorite wands!
I mean, this is a pretty great one. It's made of açaí palm wood, from the stem of one of the leaves, and it has a lovely, naturally triangular shape. With the somewhat dramatic diagonal slant on the base, and the flat edges, it fits very well in the hand and is very nice for casting gestures and motions of all kind.

Vengeance! You thought I'd forgotten, but I hadn't! I'm going to find you, whoever reported me to the wizard council, and I'm going to hex you into next week! Every minor annoying jinx and spell I know well hound you! Your shoelaces will come undone, your nose will be stuffed up, and you'll forget words you totally know!
The one wand I have that I didn't make, is this root I found on the beach years ago. It fits my hand perfectly and was worn completly smooth when I found it. All my other wands are either crystals or branches, so a root feels very different.
Also, this is totally the kind of wand I can see myself using as an old crone, shaking it from my porch swing at unruly neighbors.
The growth patterns are so different from a branch or twig!
Well well well, last night I had a wonderful time making my first wand!
I’m proudly sporting a blister on my right index from touching hot glue instinctively. When I tell you I felt my entire soul almost rocket away from me when that pain registered 😂 omg
Anywho…..
This wand was made with love, care and a toaster oven! I even made my first sigil just so I could carve it into the wand for an added layer of protection.
So proud of myself tbh.

💫 An amulet made from two charms added to one another to signify my faith and alignment

I wanna make at least three more wands with different uses. This one will be the general use wand, but its speciality will be luck, longevity and protection. My next one will have a raw amethyst point…. If I can find any Rowan or hackberry trees anywhere I’ll use that type of wood next. Apparently wood used from your birth tree is particularly in tune with your energy 👀👀

I absolutely LOVE this song. It perfectly describes my constant battle between listening to my birth mom (spiritual but Christian leaning) who encourages my journey no matter where it may lead, listening to my adopted mom (evangelical) who says I’m going to hell for my walk, and listening to my heart (Christian witch) that says “your happiness is your own, and no one else”.
I dunno what’s going to happen after my light spirit finally escapes this clay husk and returns to my extraterrestrial family beyond the stars finally moves on to the next part of existence. All I know is while I’m here? I’m bringing a little bit of hell and a little bit of heaven to the table 😏
