Wanda Maximoff being unable to sleep because of her nightmares, decides to choose you out of everyone for a cuddle. You think she's joking, why would she choose you? She thinks you're cute for being so naive on her growing feelings for you.
Warnings: None because this is pure fluff! Maybe like a little bit of a possessive mindset at the end but it's vague methinks.
Word Count: 390, short one to start with.
Wanda let out a sigh as she rolled from one side of her bed to the other, her head on her hands as she contemplated fighting a god for her lack of sleep. She could very well fight a god or two if she wished, maybe she would choose to fight Morpheus if he so much as appeared on her line of sight. Alas, she didn't have the energy or the mental capacity to handle a fight, let alone with the dream man.
And so she sat down, eyes on the colourless wall as she got lost in her mind for a while. She thought about how unlucky she was to get nightmares, while you were sleeping quite peacefully next door. Maybe she envied your ability to sleep so much and so well, maybe she envied that you cuddled your pillow, and not her.
As thoughts swirled around her mind, she thought of what she wanted to do. Either she could suffer by herself and try to go back to sleep, or she could ask you, her best friend, and most oblivious person in the multiverse, to cuddle her. Because obviously friends cuddled all the time!
She made up her mind after a couple minutes (which felt like hours), standing up and walking quietly to your room. Choosing to open the door quietly, as to not wake you up, she found you reading a book. A surprised look on her face as she expected you to have been sleeping by now.
Too surprised to notice your stare on hers, she broke into a soft, shy smile. The darkness hiding her flushed cheeks, your silent motion for her to walk in allowed her to close the door slowly, walking over to you. There was a silent understanding of what she wanted, and you were perfectly okay in this thought to be platonic move.
You enveloped her in your arms, a soft sigh leaving Wanda's lips as she found comfort in your body heat, the way you smelled, and your tight hold as you went back to reading. She found these moments incredibly peaceful, that she often thought about how she could ever deserve you, her most prized possession.
But you didn't know that yet, you didn't need to. You would understand soon enough that she was the only one for you.
This is my first oneshot that I publish!! I hope you guys enjoy it. Feel free to repost, send a comment or just like this. It'll mean so much to me to know that it's being liked. (:
Summary:You're a reporter who went to Sokovia in the aftermath of Ultron to interview the people. What you didn't expect was to fall head over heels for one of the people who saved it.
Warnings:swearing, creepy lady can't take no for an answer
Word Count:1,387
A/N:got inspired from this tiktok
You were in Sokovia as a journalist and as a volunteer to help them get back on their feet after Ultron. You never thought you'd get to interview the Avengers but it was a dream come true.
The ones you interviewed the most were Tony Stark, and Bruce Banner for having created Ultron. You believed them when they said they didn't mean for this to happen. They did save New York from Loki and the Chitauri after all.
You also interviewed Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, as they were from Sokovia and helped save it. Albeit after joining Ultron, but you learned he lied to them and they immediately turned on him when they found out.
They also told you of how Hydra gave them their powers but wouldn't elaborate understandably. Hydra did trick them and then treated them like shit, as the two are Jewish.
The other Avengers were interviewed as well, and it was cool getting to talk to them. You had to try not to fanboy too much.
The Vision was quite interesting to talk to as well. Telling you about how he was going to be a body for Ultron but after Thor hit him with lightning and he came alive decided to join the Avengers to stop Ultron. He was a little strange but he was a gentleman.
Wanda and Pietro instantly took a liking to you when they saw you out with their people helping to repair buildings and clear the streets of debris. They thought you might be doing it just to look good for your paper, but Wanda quickly checked your mind and found you weren't. You genuinely wanted to help.
The Avengers helped as well. You may be just a reporter but you always wanted to help where you could. That's part of why you became a reporter, to expose injustice and show people who needed help.
You started hanging out with the Avengers and the twins too. Tony was kinda a dick at times but it was funny to watch whatever snappy comment the twins had for him.
Wanda quite liked how you'd laugh at them telling Tony off. She loved how you were trying to help her people just for the sake of doing it, expecting and not accepting any reward for it.
You found out you both had similar music tastes as well, though you didn't understand her songs as they were in either Russian or Sokovian mainly.
You really liked her. You thought she was really pretty and at first had a bit of a hard time interviewing her because of it, the accent didn't help.
You caught yourself staring more than you'd like to admit, and knew she most likely noticed. She can read minds after all.
You grew close to Pietro and Wanda, asking them about Sokovian culture a lot, partly to maybe use in the article but mainly because you were just interested. And they liked talking about it and appreciated someone taking such interest in their culture. No one else really asked about it besides Bruce, so you all quickly became friends.
It was pretty obvious to the Avengers you had a thing for Wanda and obvious to Natasha, Clint, and Pietro that Wanda liked you too. You didn't notice that she liked you but Wanda noticed you liked her.
It was even obvious to some of the Sokovians you helped that you both liked each other, or at least that one of you liked the other.
The Avengers, Pietro, and even some Sokovians started bets on who would make a move first. You heard about them betting on something but didn't really care what. Wanda noticed and she complained about it but they still did it.
—————————–
One night after a lot of hard work you all found a bar that had managed to open back up, one of the few businesses that already had. Tony was obviously buying.
You all were having a good time together. You went up to the bar to get another drink and a girl came up to you. She said something but you didn't understand it. "Um, I don't speak Sokovian."
"Aw. Sorry I just asked how you were?" She said leaning against the bar on her side fully facing you.
"Oh, yeah I'm good, tired but good. What about you?"
She smiled seductively. "I'm good, better now that I'm talking to you though."
You only awkwardly chuckled looking back in front of you towards the bartender area. You didn't really know what to do. Sure you knew how to deal with people being touchy and creepy but not with someone harmlessly flirting with you who you didn't want to.
"I hear you've been helping around here and not accepting any reward for it."
You looked back at her. "Oh, um, yeah. I'm not doing it to be rewarded or anything." You thought she might have dropped it but you weren't so lucky.
"How noble of you." She walked her fingers up your arm. "You should be rewarded though. Or at least shown some, appreciation." You didn't miss the implication.
"Oh um, naw, it's fine." You looked back to where the group was, they hadn't noticed what was going on and Wanda was gone, probably to step out a minute or use the restroom.
It'd be obvious to anyone you were uncomfortable but she either didn't notice or didn't care.
"Come on, we could have some fun together." She said getting closer and leaving her hand on your neck.
"Uh, I appreciate the compliment ma'am," you moved her hand off of you and stepped back a little. "but I'm not really interested."
Her smile faltered a bit, but she just chuckled. "Is it because of that girl? I bet I'm way better than that emo girl you obsess over."
"Oh? Better than me?" You heard and recognized Wanda's voice immediately.
Her eyes faintly glew red when you both turned to her. That girl turned white as fresh snow and promptly ran away, which you laughed at.
"Are you alright y/n?" She asked, eyes no longer red. You leaned against the bar chest facing it.
You sighed. "Yeah I'm alright. Just wasn't exactly sure what to do."
She put a hand on your shoulder. "I'm sorry about that. Some people just don't get what 'no' means." She scoffed.
You smiled and blushed the longer she kept her hand on you. The bartender finally gave you your drink and you gulped a fair bit down.
Wanda chuckled at that, shaking her head. "Don't drink it that quick. I wouldn't want you getting sick." You didn't miss how she said "I" instead of "we" and it gave you butterflies.
You thought for a moment. "So um, it's really that obvious?" You asked cautiously.
She smiled rubbing your shoulder. "That you have a thing for me? Yes it is. People have been making bets about which one of us would make the first move."
Your entire face turned red and you face planted on the bar grumbling. Which just made her laugh.
"I didn't think it was that obvious. To you, with your whole mind reading thing, sure, but to everyone?" You continued grumbling.
"It's fine y/n. They annoy me too." She laughed.
You looked back up at her, damn was her laugh pretty, and just her in general.
"Hey Wanda?" You asked, standing back up straight.
"Yes?"
"What about you? I mean do you, feel the same?"
She just smiled. "You know for a journalist you are bad at reading people." She chuckled. "Yes I feel the same."
Your eyebrows rose and eyes widened. "Really?!"
"Yes, really." She laughed, before kissing you. You melted into it. If the bar wasn't there you were sure you would have fallen. It was soft and slow but held so much emotion at the same time. Her hand on your cheek, yours on her hip.
Neither of you saw it but Clint passed Natasha a 20, the other Avengers passed money between the others they bet against.
When you two pulled apart you both just stared at each other smiling like a couple of dorks. "So does this mean we're dating now?" You half joked, half seriously asked.
Summery:your parents didn't take you coming out well at all, forcing you to run away before they could hurt you anymore. Little did you know running into those woods would be the best decision you'd ever make
Warnings:transphobia, unhealthy binding
Word Count:1,812
A/n:got the idea for this while reading this fic
You’d been running though the woods for a couple days now. It was exhausting. Luckily you had managed to grab some food, water, money, and a pocket knife.
What made it worse was that your back and sides hurt. You knew you shouldn’t bind for this long or run with one on but right now you didn’t care, you needed that comfort it brought.
You’d run away from home because your parents found out that you’re trans, and to say they didn’t take it well would be the understatement of the century. They both yelled at you called you things like “a freak” and “disgusting” they even started threatening conversation therapy. They stared getting violent pretty quick throwing things, and hitting you. So you ran to your room, locked and barricaded the door grabbing as many necessities as you could.
Just as you were done putting everything in your bag they got even angrier and you wanted to get out of there way before they got in or called the cops playing victim. You put your bag on and opened your window, you were on the second floor but at this point your brain was starting to go into fight or flight mode. So you climbed out, hanging on the window and remembered what those parkour guys did, you jumped down bending your knees as you landed. It still hurt but with the adrenaline running though your body you didn’t really feel it until later.
So now you were walking through the woods not sure if civilization was anywhere close. As your legs started to give out you saw a small cabin in the clearing. Leaning against a tree you watched it, trying to figure out what to do. If someone lived there they could drag you back, but could also help you, and if they’re not home you can just steal some supplies and leave. If it’s abandoned than you had a place to rest away from all the bugs and animals in the forest.
After thinking it over for awhile while letting your legs rest just in case you needed to run, and decided it was your best bet.
You walked up to the door with your pocket knife in your hand, hidden in one of your pockets. You didn’t want to hurt anyone but just incase you needed to you had it, and it brought you comfort as well.
Taking a deep breath you knocked on the door, hearing some shuffling and someone walking to the door.
Wanda didn’t expect to ever hear a knock on her door. She immediately put her guard up thinking it might be those S.W.O.R.D. assholes, or the remaining Avengers. She didn’t sense any danger though or any of the people she thought it might be. All she sensed was, fear.
Opening the door she didn’t expect to see a beaten up kid with dirty clothes and bags under their eyes. They looked scared and like they hadn’t been eating well or drinking enough water.
You looked at the woman not knowing what to say, luckily she did. “Oh my god! Are you alright sweetie? Here come inside.” She stepped out of the way and you looked at her for a moment analyzing her before going inside.
Her place looked nice, it was really cozy. “Here sit down on the couch, I’ll be right there.” She told you, and you did what she asked. Your legs hurt to much to deny an opportunity to sit. You looked at your legs and arms and saw all the bruises and scraps you’d gathered from this disaster.
She came over to you and sat on the coffee table in front of you with a med kit, some ice packs, and a towel and bowl of water to presumably get some of the dirt off of you. “Can I see your arm please?” She asked softly. You just nodded and put your arm out.
She was so gentle it surprised you, maybe it was just because of the trauma you just went through but you expected her to be rougher, not as rough as your parents but still.
You were dragged out of your thoughts by the antiseptic she put on the cuts, flinching. “I’m sorry but I need to make sure these don’t get infected.” She paused continuing to clean your cuts. “What’s your name? I’m Wanda.” You stayed quiet for a couple seconds before replying. “y/n.” You answered so quietly she almost didn’t hear it.
She just smiled at you holding nothing but kindness in her eyes. “Well it’s nice to meet you y/n.” She said your name. Your REAL name. Fuck you didn’t wanna cry in front of this stranger, but at least you could blame it on the pain.
She saw the surprise on your face when she said your name and it confused her. Why did it have that kind of effect on this kid. She wanted to ask but there were more important questions she had to ask you.
“Why are you out here in the middle of nowhere? The nearest town is miles away.” She asked it as gently as she could, not wanting to upset you more than you already were, but you tensed up anyway. You looked away from her wanting to curl up in a ball.
Wanda had a good feeling you ran away. I mean the dirty clothes, and the bag made it pretty obvious. She waited about ten minutes for you to answer, but with you not looking at her or saying anything in that time she had to ask you.
“Did you run away from home y/n?” You tensed even more and started shaking. If her motherly instincts hadn’t already kicked in, the terror in your eyes when you looked back at her definitely made them kick in.
She let go of your arm and put the towel down. “Hey it’s ok. It’s alright, you’re safe.” She reached to put a hand on your shoulder but when you flinched she pulled her hand back.
“Please don’t make me go back please! Please. I can’t go back.” Your voice was shaking as much as your body was with terror in your voice as well. “Hey, hey. It’s ok I won’t make you I promise. I just need you to take some deep breaths ok? I don’t want you hyperventilating.” You nodded and breathed with her doing it with you.
It took awhile but you had calmed down enough. “Better?” You nodded again. “That’s good. As I said I won’t take you back but I need you to tell me what happened to make you run.”
“I-I.” You looked back at her and saw the patience and again the kindness in her eyes. You didn’t trust her completely but you did feel safe with her. “I ran because my, my parents found out I’m uh” You had to take a deep breath. “found out I’m trans. They got really mad a-and violent.”
Wanda was shocked and appalled. Not at you being trans but at your parents reaction. How could someone do that to their child? She thought of Billy and Tommy and how if they were trans, gay, bi, that she wouldn’t care and she’d support them with all her heart.
You hadn’t looked at her since you started explaining, worried that she might look the same way they did. “y/n, can you look at me sweetie?” She asked gentle as always. So you slowly looked at her. “There you go.” She smiled. “I'm so sorry they did that. I don’t understand how someone could have a child and then treat them like that. You can stay here as long as you want ok? I don’t want you to go back there either.”
You really teared up this time. You tried not to but you started crying, this stranger was so accepting and kind. “Aw, you’re all right. Can I touch you?” You nodded not trusting your voice. She moved over to sit next to you and pulled you into a hug, rubbing your back. You held onto her like if you didn’t she’d leave.
“Th-thank you.” You sobbed. Her heart broke. “There’s nothing to thank me for.” She continued to hold you as long as you needed and hummed some Sokovian lullabies. She felt your binder and knew you’d probably worn it way to long. She didn’t know much about trans people but she knew wearing one of those for to long was really bad for you. She’d wait for you to calm down before she brought it up.
About twenty minutes later you’d calmed down but were still holding onto her and so was she. “How about we get you some clean clothes and you can shower. I know you’ve probably been wearing that binder way to long as well.” You pulled back and rubbed your eyes. “Yeah. Way to long. My chest hurts.” “The warm water might help with that. Do you have clean clothes in your bag?” “Yeah.” She nodded and stood up. “Ok how about you grab them and I’ll get that shower going.” You smiled at her. “That sounds nice.”
Wanda missed her boys but thought of this as another chance to be a mother and you saw it as a chance to be who you truly are with a supportive parent. Your parents didn’t seem to care or ever even look for you, it hurt but being with Wanda was way better. She taught you about Sokovia and always thought it was cute how excited and interested you’d get.
You reminded her of her boys sometimes and she still wanted to find them but she now cared for you just as much. They’d have an older sibling when they got back. After a few years with her you accidentally called her mom, you didn’t even notice at first, but she almost cried.
She got you new binders every year and got you any gender affirming care you needed. Testosterone, got it, top surgery, she’ll call to get it set up as soon as possible. She did get on you if you wore it to long though. She made sure you still got through school as well and helped you with it if needed.
She was worried about you thinking her powers were scary but when you saw them your eyes lit up and you looked with wonder at it. She realized how silly that concern was now. What did surprise her was that you related to her. She was demonized because of her powers and you were similarly were ostracized because of your gender identity. She comforted you about it but later you two would joke about and rant about how stupid people are.
She thought of you as her kid and you thought of her as your real mom.
