KRUSIELLE EVIDENCE MASTERPOST
Krusielle evidence masterpost that I've compiled. Someone's probably already done this somewhere on the internet and better. If I'm missing anything don't hesitate to tell me!
This is broken up between the first two chapters (when we had straws to grasp at) and the last two (with more evidence putting the nail in the coffin for me)
If you name yourself Kris, Noelle, or Susie in the vessel creation sequence, Gaster â er I mean, the mysterious, unnamed narrator â will say âYou are about to meet someone, very, very wonderful.â He doesn't say this for anyone else. Ralsei not being included in this category may be for more reasons as you can name yourself Ralsei with no issues but not any of the other main characters.
Polyamory is mentioned as a completely normal and natural thing by the Addisons, and in the Spamton sweepstakes.
Kris and Noelle never get jealous with each other over Susie. When Susie and Kris show just how close they are, Noelle takes no issue with it. Like the âhanging out in the closetâ line by Susie. She just tells them to have fun, and asks Kris to bring her by the Library later, which they do end up doing. (Probably because of the Knight but it's clear that Kris cares about Noelle).
Kris and Noelle's history as childhood friends doesn't bother Susie either, and she only really seems concerned about Noelle's mysterious missing sister.
Rudy says that Kris should take Susie to the movies, despite knowing his daughter is crushing hard on Susie. He also says that Susie should take Noelle out prior, so it's not like he disapproves of her dating his daughter.
Susie drinking each of their teas is a âHell Yeah!â from her.
Kris is, at the very least, interested in Monsters. Not like they have much of a choice given that it's all they've known. But they seem to really like Susie as well. Could this be platonic? Of course, and that's really awesome. I really like their friendship as is. It could also very well be romantic.
Ralsei comments that Kris âseems into it,â when Kris drinks her tea. They also make a point to stare directly at Susie while drinking it, which could be an attempt at flirting. Kris is good at flirting, but when it's with someone they actually like they could be bad at it. This is just a popular headcanon from what I can tell, though.
Kris will also ask Susie for her jacket over Ralseiâs offer to give them his scarf.
Kris seems to prefer Susie over everyone else in their age bracket, Ralsei and Noelle included, even if they do really care about them. Kris only seems to want to go to the festival with Susie and is confused if you pick Noelle, Ralsei, and especially Berdly, which only becomes an option in a later chapter.
Kris seems to be okay with whatever ends up happening. When Susie refuses to share her jacket, they're fine with it. Noelle says that Kris and her dad are the only ones she feels like she can say no to. All this to say Kris can take a no, and just wants their friends to be happy.
Susie might not like Kris back, but it's clear she really cares about them and their opinions of her. She's touched when they compliment her hair, she stands up for them against MK and Snowy, she encourages Kris to take her to the movies like Rudy suggested, and agrees to go to the festival with Kris. She also makes the "hanging out alone in the closet" option weird and awkward on her own.
Her obsession with Krisâs hair smelling like apples and making a point that she wants to bite their head is getting a little weird LMAO
There doesn't really need to be an explanation for Suselleâs progression throughout these chapters. It's obvious and inevitable that Suselle will be a thing.
On the Ferris wheel, Susie wishes Kris were there as they would know what to say.
Kris and Noelle are super complicated (in a good way, honestly). Noelle obviously wants to be close with them again and brings up their shared past a lot. She pays close attention to Kris drinking her tea and gauges their reaction, not able to tell if they like it (her) or not.
When the pink Addison thinks they're dating, she reminisces about their past once again, and has trouble saying they're friends.
When Kris says they are friends, she seems really happy.
Overall it's clear that they have a complicated history and may become closer in the future
The Rouxls polycule subplot is unavoidable and put right in our faces.
Despite breaking it off, the problem wasn't it being polyamorous, but Rouxls himself. Both Elnina and Lanino find him physically attractive, but can't stand his personality.
Starwalker can replace him and it seems to work out.
Kris and Susie have a moment of tension in chapter 3, when Kris pulls her out of harm's way from the player in a Kris game sprite. Susie blushes!
Kris has a cactus in their home. The narration reads âIt loves you, but mainly shows a sharp side,â indicating Susie.
Noelle has a cactus in her room that's named âKrismasâ!
If you tell Ralsei Kris is taking Noelle to the festival, he encourages you to take Susie too, sure they'll have fun if it's the three of them.
Noelle and Susie ask Kris to leave them alone in the Holiday manor, but later they both wish they were still there with them, confused at their thoughts.
When Kris is fighting us in Dessâs closet to keep us away from the guitar and Noelle and Susie are talking and they joke about Kris being good at flirting. Susie says they should take flirting lessons with them, and says âGuess it'll be the three of us, then.â Kris blushes!
Everything about the weird route is creepy and unnerving and WRONG, but it's also basically a dark romance between Kris and Noelle. Instead of choosing to spend time alone with Susie, Noelle seeks out Kris to talk with them instead. She also sits RIGHT next to them on the edge of the couch. (I don't think the creepy scene that follows is meant to represent SA, metaphorically or otherwise. They're 16, for one, and although I understand some SA victims saw themselves in Noelle in that moment â and I'm a victim as well so I get it! â I don't think that was ever Toby's intention).
Obviously everything about this is forced, but Noelle and Kris really care about each other despite the shit they're being put through. It doesn't seem to put a strain on their relationship, as Noelle begins to realize Kris isn't the one in control and is concerned for them. Kris literally beats the crap out of us afterwards.
Just because everything about Kriselle is unhealthy and toxic in the weird route, however, doesn't mean it couldn't be healthy in the normal route!
Suselle is still well on its way to becoming canon, and I don't think anyone can really argue now that there's something romantic going on between them.
Despite asking Noelle out to the festival in a seemingly romantic way, though, Susie also says that it should go without saying that Kris will be there and seems to agree to go with them. She may not realize that bringing Kris along kind of defeats the purpose of taking Noelle to it as a kind of "date.â
I personally see them as all liking each other rather than a vee or love corner polycule or Suselle - their QPR third being Kris.
But that doesn't mean it can't be like this! I would be perfectly okay with any of these dynamics.
I really like Krerdly and Kralsei too, tbh! I also like Ralsusie, Kralsusie, Krerdsei, and Berdsei. I'm a huge multishipper and if I see potential, I like it. I'm also a greedy bitch. Do I think any of these are going to be canon though? No, not really. Ralsei's crush on Kris is never even subtly hinted to be reciprocated, and Kris, like every other main character, doesn't really like Berdly. Berdly being an option for Kris to take him to the festival seems more like both a nod to Krerdly by Toby Fox (as he's given us a lot of nods to a lot of ships), and yet another example of the soul forcing Kris to do something they don't want to do. I personally don't see Kris's opinion of Berdly in a romantic sense will really change by forcing them to go to the festival together.
