She returned to the table and placed both ingredients in with the required amounts… then put a small dab of honey on her finger and poked Guillaume’s cheek with it.
Beaming like a child who knew they couldn’t get in trouble for their actions, she said, “Maybe now you can flatter the inn keeper with your sweetness instead of having to put a spell on them, hm?”
“I think I’m plenty sweet, can’t you see?” he answered, grinning as he swiped the dab of honey off with a thumb. “But I suppose there’s nothing wrong with being even sweeter. No one shall resist me now.”
The mixture was a bit too spicy, so he reached to the side to sprinkle in some more sugar. As the last few grains wafted into the bowl, Guillaume held a hand in front of his mouth and blew gently, sending a small puff into Navalli’s face.
“And I think you could do with some sweetness in your life, too.”
