((It can actually be a pretty fun platform for roleplay. It's faster paced, and I know I tend to make my posts shorter.

It feels more casual, if that makes any sense? It's a lot of fun. I created a chatroom specifically for RPs. Though I don't really use it much xD

A roleplaying pet peeve the mun has

Oh gosh… I can’t say that I’ve been at it enough that I even have one? Like, even in RPs in other places I’ve… Well, okay, I guess when I’m RPing in deviantART chat rooms (which I do from time to time), I don’t like getting stuck with people that try to like, take control of my character. I mean, if I know you a little that’s one thing, but if we just started out and you’re doing things that force my character to behave a certain way (especially that’s ooc), I’m gonna get kinda peeved. But that’s really only been a thing on dA.

A phrase/word the mun uses too much in writing

Haha! There are probably a lot… I feel like I use the word ‘said’ too much, when it comes to dialogue. I need better words than that.

Um… Other than that I guess it would be… Phrases about lip biting. Like, ‘he bit his lip’ or ‘she bit her lip’ or ‘biting her lip’ what have you. It seems like all of my characters do this a LOT. I should probably try to diversify their nervous habits. >.>

A word of advice from one RPer to another

I’m gonna do a cut, because this is gonna get kind of long. Thanks for the ask!

Stop worrying about what other people think. Like, in role playing and in life. A huge part of why I didn’t come back to the shipyard right away, and why I ended up abandoning my old muse, is because I was so worried and afraid of what other people thought of her. I would fixate on the flaws in her character, I would worry that someone would point them out and berate me for them. I’ve had this problem with all of my characters for quite a long time. Because it happened to me once, in a very public way, and I guess I never fully recovered.

And the thing is, it doesn’t matter. Their opinions of my characters are just that. Opinions. I’ve had to take a good, hard look at why I started writing and creating OCs and role playing and all in the first place. It’s because I had these ideas in my head that entertained me, because I wanted to have fun, and because I wanted to join in the fun that others were having. And I wasn’t concerned then about being a perfect writer or whether my characters weren’t well developed or ‘Sue’. I just wanted to have fun.

Not that I want to run around with underdeveloped OCs. Character development is so important for so many reasons.

But you gotta get that idea out of your head about having a perfect character. There’s no such thing. Also, stop being afraid of Sues. They happen. Sometimes they’re bad. But Batman and Superman are probably the biggest Sues (Stews?) of all time and everyone loves them (as a lovely friend of mine once pointed out).

Idk, that’s the advice I’m trying to follow myself. It’s the biggest issue I’ve been having, and probably the only thing I can really speak on. And by no means have I worked through these issues myself. It’s a constant struggle for me, but I’m trying.

… That’s pretty much the biggest thing. And it applies to life in general too, I guess. And I’m sure everyone’s heard it before but… That’s all I’ve got.

[[Yeah, it's happened a couple times in the past few days its just... Why? You're not part of that thread. And like, why do people want posts of my character talking to themselves? I think some are spam blogs but it's still frustrating :/

A little perturbed by the unsolicited company, Lielle decided to confront the Dunmer. He didn't seem dangerous... But it was still strange to be followed through the woods in the dark. So she stopped and turned to face him, leaning casually against a tree and crossing her arms.

[[I have statcounter but a lot of the time it's as useful as a wet paper bag and just says "United States" and nothing else.  I always click block so in theory they shouldn't be able to message me again but *shrug* thank you though <3
