Marc hadn’t expected to end up in a different timeline than the one she came from. One where her mother... Wasn’t actually her mother and was really her father? And her actual father wasn’t related to her at all.

The girl stared at the man in front of her, resisting the urge to walk by her and hug Henry instead. She had obviously ended up in the wrong time, and Morgan was somewhere else. The ruins of time had been overran with Risen and if her “father” hadn’t shown up she would have probably died.

That wasn’t going to stop her from being completely confused.

{❧} ---- “Um... Thanks for the help. I was looking for my brother... He has white hair and... Well. Looks like me kinda. Have you seen him?”

And her parents, but they aren’t here. Only one of them was, and she was sure that he was married to someone else and was one of the other kids’ father.

Henry knew exactly where he was going. The village could be seen by now since he walked away from the camp. It was only a few minutes of walking before he reached it. The whole place was silent, long forgotten bones were left in the same place their owners lost their lives. Only a few made it out alive.

Unfortunately, his parents were included with the survivors and sent him away to school in fear that he would kill again.

The cause of this tragedy? While most blamed the wolf thinking that it had walked into the village and supposedly scared the boy into setting everything on fire, they didn’t know half the story.

That wolf had raised the boy after his parents refused to care for him. She was a mother to him when he needed one.

And they killed her.

Henry walked up to the small grave, the resting place of the only body that was buried there once he returned from school. Even with his fascination for death and blood, both of which happened here, he still didn’t want to think of what had happened on that day.
