reddened fingers clutched onto his inhaler tightly, a deep frown taking form on his lips. the usually attentive teen was lost in his mind as worries of if’s and when’s cloud it mercilessly. richie was here, sure, he wasn’t completely alone but it was very evident that they shouldn’t be here. this was not their time. the constant shuffling brought about various tension to his body. the fact that his mom was R I G H T: he couldn’t live without her, making him extremely erratic and angry. eddie wanted to show her otherwise but then again here he was, trying to find some way back into manipulative clutches. he hadn’t realized the sound of approaching steps becoming louder -- closer. yeah, maybe standing in the middle of the sidewalk wasn’t the best idea.
❝ fuck, ❞ he released under his breath as he swiftly tried his best to move away from the center. that was his second mistake. the clumsy boy wasn’t able to find his rightful footing, his foot tripping on the other in his efforts to avoid any interaction. now, with his ass and hands on the dirty floor, all eddie could do was release a high-pitched whine -- before his weak lungs decide that they want to join the p a r t y too. and there he is, wheezing with a disgusted expression on his face, frantic hues trying ( but failing ) to not stare directly at the stranger whatsoever. ❝ i’m -- i’m FINE. ❞
