Madam Kanye... when I entered Mognori, an eco friendly community and sits about 14KM to the east of the Mole National Park I met some kids who were welcoming enough to teach me a thing a two about the community. Madam Kande AKA Abrewa had heard our conversation so she came out to see what was happening. She stood at the entrance to her house for about five minutes laughing at me learning some few words in the Hanga Language from the kids. After that she spoke to me. We were having difficulties understanding each other at the beginning because she can’t speak English and I can’t speak Hanga pass “Awoo” “Anee Toma” and “Eyuri.” She asked me “Wo te Twi?” (do you understand twi). I said yes, and then we spoke for long. Her husband returned from farm later and joined us. I love her and her family so much. . . 📷: Nana Osei - 2018 . . #tamale #northernregion #mognori #ecofriendly #environment #damongo #mole #molenationalpark #madamkande #language #hangalanguage #ashantiimmigrant #travelphotography #doghana #wangowango #meetpeople #kids #abrewa #streetstyle #streetphotography #everydayafrica #dynamicafrica #visiterlafrique (at Northern Region) https://www.instagram.com/p/Brw0v-lAiLw/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=vssc04xpqjcz
An old lady enters the Larabanga mosque (the oldest mosque in Ghana) for prayers. The Larabanga mosque has 4 different entranceway. The first entrance is for the Chief Imam, the second entrance is for the Muazzin (the man who calls for prayers), the third entrance is for the women, and the last but main entrance to the mosque is for the men. . . 📷: Nana Osei - 2018 . . #larabanga #damongo #gonjadistrict #northernregion #ghana #africa #doghana #wangowango #travelghana #travelafrica #larabangamosque #muazzin #islam #religion #history #ashantiimmigrant #travelphotography #streetstyle #streetphotography #everydayafrica #dynamicafrica #visiterlafrique (at Larabanga Mosque) https://www.instagram.com/p/BrzoBp6ASPG/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=vy9wdhaeb17d
Fati Amankwaah... I met Fati at the Mole National Park with her two nephews. She’d brought her little boys to tour the conservation park. She grew up at the guard quarters because her dad was once a guard at the park. Her outfit was super beautiful, and so i shot her a compliment. That’s how our conversations started. We spoke about her family, and her name. Her name because I didn’t understand how a Gonja girl has “Amankwaah” as a surname when neither of her parents is Akan. . . 📷: Nana Osei - 2018 . . #mole #northernregion #tamale #damango #travel #seeghana #molenationalpark #name #surname #clothes #ashantiimmigrant #gonja #streetphotography #streetstyle #doghana #wangowango #everydayafrica #visiterlafrique #dynamicafrica (at Northern Region) https://www.instagram.com/p/BruvrckAKsW/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=s1ott9566w1f
