Children of Mognori still have my heart ❤️💛💚🇬🇭
Hajia Memuna... she’s one of the most important people in Mognori. Her house is literally the first point of contact to the community. She’s the biggest Shea Butter producer in Mognori. She’s being doing the Shea Butter for more than 35 years. Hajia works with NGOs on training people. In collaboration with USAID and other organizations, she’s produced a chart that describes the processes in the Shea Butter production. The hotels around Mole and Damongo take some of the produce/ or recommend her to their guests. One of her notable clients is Arusha Ghana. I’m definitely visiting her again. Madam Kanye... when I entered Mognori, an eco friendly community and sits about 14KM to the east of the Mole National Park I met some kids who were welcoming enough to teach me a thing a two about the community. Madam Kande AKA Abrewa had heard our conversation so she came out to see what was happening. She stood at the entrance to her house for about five minutes laughing at me learning some few words in the Hanga Language from the kids. After that she spoke to me. We were having difficulties understanding each other at the beginning because she can’t speak English and I can’t speak Hanga pass “Awoo” “Anee Toma” and “Eyuri.” She asked me “Wo te Twi?” (do you understand twi). I said yes, and then we spoke for long. Her husband returned from farm later and joined us. I love her and her family so much. . . 📷: Nana Osei - 2018 . . #tamale #northernregion #mognori #ecofriendly #environment #damongo #mole #molenationalpark #madamkande #language #hangalanguage #ashantiimmigrant #travelphotography #doghana #wangowango #meetpeople #kids #abrewa #streetstyle #streetphotography #everydayafrica #dynamicafrica #visiterlafrique (at Northern Region) https://www.instagram.com/p/Brw0v-lAiLw/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=vssc04xpqjcz
