Intro/Headcanons Part 1

Headcanons

Dimitri is very superstitious. He believes that baba yaga and the supernatural world exist. He believes that all folklore must have a grain of truth to them. This is something that has been enhanced by the many times he wished to the higher powers that be to make him invisible, whenever he was stealing out of necessity, finally granting his wish as an adult.

Dimitri is in a word particular when it comes to food. He hates to see food being thrown out or wasted. When out with friends, he’s always quick to make sure that not a drop of food is thrown out, opting to polish off their plates for them. This is primarily due to his memories of countless nights going to sleep with his stomach aching from emptiness and his mind haunting him with images of food. 

Dimitri has worked hard to get where he is today, even if some people may not approve of his methods. To him, the end product is what matters not the road to getting there. So what? If you had to steal, con, and charm your way into having a place to sleep and food in your belly. 

As a child, a way that he was able to distract himself from hunger pains after the tragedy that occurred in the palace or as he recalls it the last night he saw her, was through making up stories of far away lands and people, singing tales of adventures and riches to come. He’d reassure himself that there would be better days.

Dimitri is always looking for opportunities to be able to live the lavish life he feels life owes him, after the crappy set of cards he’s been dealt most of his life to even up the odds.  One of those opportunities that has been ever present in his mind;  is finding her, and returning her to her family, and getting the pay day that could set him up for the rest of his life.  

In most establishments Dimitri is a card carrying member of the five finger discount.

He frequently dines and dashes at restaurants, using distractions with other customers and or his charm on the employees and managers there.

His favorite color is ocean blue. The color reminds him of the kind, mischievous eyes of a girl he used to know.
