I don't mind being a girl, sometimes it's even cool!
but like..
Imagine being a boy.
*Dreamy sigh*

*dreamy sigh* being a boy.. boys.. being a boy who likes people in a boy way..
it takes a bold man to transition, it takes an even bolder man to transition and be a femboy
Transmasc positivity moment! I'm a femme trans guy and my older brother is a cis man, and he has always been very supportive of me.
He affirms that I'm his brother every time he talks about me to someone or is trying to cheer me up
He started doing more feminine things like painting his nails and wearing thigh-highs and eyeliner to encourage me when I confided in him about feeling alienated because of my presentation (like "hey, I'm a cis guy and I do this stuff too, fuck them if they say it makes you less of a man")
He gives me workout and self-defense tips and shares music that makes me feel more confident
He actually dropped a friend for being ignorant about me
He's the coolest and I can go to him for pretty much anything. Don't let anyone ever tell you that it's hopeless outside of our community.
This is transmasc positivity!!! Genuinely sounds like you have an amazing relationship with your brother :))
i saw your post talking about how many trans women were role models to you and treated you well coming into the community... and I honestly cried... i'm transfem and its the same with a lot of trans men in my life and it's wracking me with guilt that other trans women can say such hateful things, and your post reminded me that this clearly isn't normal. love your radiant soul <3
it makes me really happy to see these kinds of messages among all the shitty anons .... seriously thank you
it's crazy how different queer spaces are irl compared to online. I've rarely had bad interactions with transfems irl even talking about serious matters of intersectional feminism, but the internet really tends to be a perfect breeding ground for hate and it's especially funny that I get called a transmisogynyst for speaking up against transandrophobia when the people who told me "don't erase your own oppression because that allows society to oppress you more with no consequences" were 50+ y/o trans women who absolutely fucking love me and always told me I am lovely to discuss with. they were the ones who taught me how it works and I'll never forget it or stop upholding it.
we have to stand together or we all die alone
Positivity post for trans men who are seen as scary and dangerous.
Here's to the trans men of color, the mentally ill trans men, the paraphilic trans men, the trans men who live in environments where everybody else is conservative.
Here's to the trans men in both men's and women's spaces who are afraid of facing violence for it, and the ones who have faced it already.
Here's to the trans men who actually do have violent tendencies and actually do lash out, as well as the trans men who have never done anything and are being prosecuted with no basis.
Here's to all the trans men that are petrified of people thinking they're unpalatable because last time someone thought that, something terrible happened.
You are loved. You are so loved, by me personally. I see you. I'm holding your hand across the internet. We're gonna make it. Keep going.
