Okay so What did you call me? (OFMD) was probably the quickest to write, because it was just 200 words and was more comedy than smut 😆

For something a little... heftier, my recent Sandman fic Unseen was one that absolutely seized me, once I knew what I wanted to do. Hammered that sucker out in a few hours and then cleaned it up and posted it the next day, and I am quite pleased with the result 🎉

11. What work took you the longest to write?

Oh jeez that's probably my Lokius fic New message, which was a request by the endlessly patient @starport-seven-five , because it languished for.. I don't even want to think about how long, probably somewhere close to an entire year ahahaha. But once I actually got started on it for real, it went pretty quick!

The other option is Unfairly good, the Dresden/Marcone smutty sequel to a little fade-to-black oneshot I originally posted for Fictober 2021. I started the sequel not long after part 1, but it took months of picking at it literally sentence by sentence at a time, until I finally finished and posted it in July of this year 😂🙈

Multipart question (any fandom): what's something that happened in canon that you adored, and/or something that happened you found disappointing?

And, which do you like better: bouncing off and playing with canon scenes you saw/read and said "YES!" to, or fixing/reworking/playing with different possibilities for things that made you go "URGH"

The Thrawn books jumped into my head first, soooo... 😂

Something that happened in canon that I adored:

Thrawn & Thrass crime-foiling shenanigans in between adorable nerd tabletop gaming time

Which do I like better...

In all of my fandoms, I definitely prefer playing with and getting inspiration from bits of canon that made me go YES!! for 👀, 😳, 😏, and/or 😍 reasons 😆 There's something about the challenge of writing stuff that could fit into canon, or after canon, or before canon, that I really enjoy. I don't think I write all that much in the way of Canon Fix-It fics, in contrast... 🤔 With, of course, the notable exceptions of "Nightswan didn't die" - "ok but how, exactl--" "Nightswan. Didn't. Die." and hardcore denial-shipping Thrass/Being Alive.

But generally if there's bits of canon that actually made me go "URGH" (as opposed to "AUGH my HEART 😭😭 whY" because those are still Good Parts of canon even if they're also Awful), the URGH bits I just tend to... pretend they don't exist, rather than actively thinking of ways to fix or rework them 😂
