~Aegon II charged forth to Rook's Rest to face off against Princess Rhaenys and her dragon, Meleys. He urged his glorious golden mount, Sunfyre, faster in a foolish attempt to prove himself a fearsome warrior to all. Sadly for him and his dragon, Aegon's blind haste made them easy targets.
Without warning, a large, winged shadow descended upon the pair from the storm clouds gathered above the battlefield. MaKaela Bloodmane of House Targaryen atop her menacing war dragon, Thunderbolt, had arrived. Nicknamed the Storm Shadow, Thunderbolt had grown to nearly the same impressive size as his mother, Meleys, and he was as swift as he was ferocious.
Thunderbolt attacked Sunfyre without hesitation or mercy, thus leaving Rhaenys free to focus on the fight against Aemond on Vhagar. Aegon's golden beast shrieked as the Storm Shadow fired upon him. Thunderbolt breathed orange flames streaked with veins of black.
Sunfyre pivoted in the air to take the blast upon his scaled chest and underbelly, shielding Aegon from Thunderbolt's dragonfire. Ultimately, Sunfyre's valiant efforts to defend both himself and his unworthy rider proved to be in vain. The Storm Shadow's greater size, paired with his speed and ferocity, made him too great an adversary for Sunfyre to defeat alone.~
