A Response to War Horse
why are there so many movies about horses?!? man's relationship with other creatures can be explored too.
###IDEAS###
- WAR TURTLE: natural lovers of army formation (as evidenced by underwater turtle bales and by valiant post-hatching march toward the sea), perfect green coloring to score film some mad oscar points in art direction, their teenage mutant brethren [a.k.a., our heroes in a half-shell] have proven themselves to be extremely skilled at kung fu, their weird sex noise can be re-imaged/re-spun into a ferocious battle cry, & of course the moneymaker- RELATIVE OF THE DINOSAUR. find me a fucker that doesn't like dinosaurs.
- WAR SLOTH: they're so fucking underrated! but seriously think about this - a) the film would be relocated to central/south america, b) sloths have the cute factor face to win over children & anybody else that's a sucker for cute shit, and then c) to take this whole thing to the next level by projecting a war mentality upon sloths, a creature seemingly too slow for its own good, would basically be mcdonald's hashbrowns good.
- WAR BEAR: man's relationship with this noble beast has spanned centuries. even millennia. and to be honest, the image of bears fighting alongside men, as well as befriending them, is so good that it basically writes itself.
- WAR GIRAFFE: unlikely candidate? maybe. but whose curiosity isn't peaked right now?!
