Insurance for freelance war journalists
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) is offering good health insurance for those working in LIbya and other war zones. Many insurance policies don't cover acts of war, so this is important for you freelancers out there. We have translated this from the French.
APRIL International Canada (formerly Escapade Assurances) is now offering a full coverage for affiliated/contracted journalists during their assignments in foreign countries. We cover war risks and consequences of terrorist attacks. We insure as well the embedded reporters on the field.
Please find the attached file, an extract of the "Assurance Reporter sans frontiers - Formule reenforce" solution (Insurance Reporter sans frontiers - Reinforced formula), with the detailed guarantees as well as the different levels of coverage. The subscription to Reporter sans Frontier is required.
