I am consumed by fear that my mother might die in Gaza while I am far away, unable to help her. The thought of her suffering alone in such a dangerous place breaks my heart. I feel so helpless and terrified, knowing I can't be there to protect her or bring her to safety. Every day is filled with anxiety and dread, as I hope and pray for her survival amidst the chaos.

BDS has called for an official boycott of Eurovision2024
Everyone...you know what to do
[ID 1: text on a black background reading: "Boycott Eurovision: Artwashing Israel's #GazaGenocide". The Eurovision logo is edited such that red barbed wire appears over the heart in the center.
ID 2: a tweet from "PACBI - BDS movement" @/PACBI reading:
We call for the boycott of #Eurovision2024". We urge all participating broadcasters, national competitors, finalists, production crews, and viewers to boycott the contest following the refusal of the organizers @/EBU_HQ to ban genocidal Israel. #BoycottEurovision2024

🇵🇸 Ramadan brings joy to Gaza, even amid the ruins.
Here's my daily report on the Venezuela situation from within the country. Monday, January 5th.
The Assembly is currently meeting to assign a new president for the Assembly and for the Vice-president Delcy Rodríguez to take the presidency of Venezuela.
Maduro followers, including his son, have spoken and demanded for Maduro and his wife to be returned to Venezuela after their kidnapping. They declare they won't give up and won't give away the country. Delcy's brother, Jorge Rodrigues, has been elected once more as president of the Assembly.
The opposition has demanded for all political prisoners to be released and stop being chased/hunted down. They are a minority in the current Assembly, tho.
Trump has declared that Delcy Rodríguez must give the United States complete access to Venezuela resources (minerals and oil) or there will be another attack.
Nicolás Maduro and his wife arrived in New York to start their trial.
Lots of police patrolling the streets of the center north states of the country. They are checking cellphones, cars, etc. Not only them but also organized groups of armed civilians called colectivos. People don't go out of their houses much for fear of the situation.
Marco Rubio has been declared by Trump as the one in charge of Venezuela.
The UN is in an emergency meeting right now. We need to wait for what they have to say about Trump guiding the United States to attack Venezuela behind the UN back and the US Congress back.
Known soldier Escalona —a close / popular supporter of Chavez and Maduro,— has been shown to be alive and well. He's attending the Assembly meeting.
Electricity has returned to the affected areas of Caracas. No further conflicts have been reported.
A lot is happening behind curtains. Most of us Venezuelans agree that there's something fishy about what is going on. We don't know what is being discussed and negotiated in secret.
For now, people are being called to continue to work and study like normal.
