Nils Kreuger (Oct., 11, 1858 - 1930)) was a Swedish painter who excelled in landscapes, inspired by Gauguin and Van Gogh in his colorist palette. Kreuger started adding pointilistic touches to his style around 1900, giving his work a very particular stylistic intensity.
He studied in Paris from 1881, returned to Varberg in Sweden in 1887 and relocated to Stockholm in 1896. Nationalmuseum, Stockholm holds 150 of his works...
