Hey guys, welcome back to my WW2 roast series, today we are going to talk about the cost of World War 2, which is estimated to be around 17.9 trillion dollars, I know it sounds like a lot, but trust me, it gets even crazier when you break it down, the US alone spent over 340 billion dollars, which is around 4.5 trillion in todays money, and the UK spent over 120 billion pounds, which is around 1.5 trillion in todays money, and Germany, well, Germany spent over 1 trillion dollars, but they also lost a significant amount of money due to the war, and thats not even counting the human cost, which is estimated to be around 50-80 million deaths, so yeah, WW2 was definitely a costly war, but hey, at least we learned from it, right?watch full video: https://youtu.be/j4Trfh35eZg?list=PLjBgcvtYPpOTA2xfMbOFC0dVi1EwYIYvT

             gaze quickly turns towards the man,  something within the sage depths of her eyes settling.  she has been dealing with ‘assholes’ long before the world went to shit.  but it’s nice to have someone care   (   it almost seems quaint and chivalrous in an endearing way   ).  magnolia glances back at the individual in question.  he was,  in fact,  bothering her.  he’s loud and she would have shared her supplies if he had simply asked politely.  instead he’s been badgering her,  speaking foully and generally being unpleasant.  ❝  yes.  ❞  she answers flatly.  hands lift,  middle fingers up to sign  ❛  fuck off.  ❜   she looks back at frank and flashes a smile.  at least she'll have a little back up if this guy continues.

she’s not entirely sure what to say to that, not entirely sure how to feel, either, aside from the overwhelming need to be the caretaker, the one who makes sure everything is alright and no one is left behind. karen thinks that may be how she dies; trying so hard to save somebody and endangering herself in the process, taking on things so much bigger than she’s ever been made to handle. all things considered, that sort of death is much more preferable than surviving by doing nothing when she could have done something, and she’s not sure if that makes her a good person or a fool. “well, i don’t need anything from you, either,” she finally tells frank, a hard glint shining behind her eyes. “i know this twinkie is past its expiration date, but i’m offering half of it to you because i want to.” they’re low on food, low on everything really, and with the state of things, who knows when the next opportunity will come to scavenge for supplies? still, it’s no use, depriving themselves of what they still have. if they don’t keep up their strength, then they’re certainly going to die. “maybe we can go to the city — or what’s left of it — tomorrow.” the suggestion is mild, tentative. karen rips the twinkie packet open and offers the unpeeled half of it to frank. “we’re due for a supply run.”

              she has learned to accept people.  both as they are and as they see themselves.  oftentimes the two do not align.  many make harsh judgements of their own character  (  others could do to be more introspective  ).   people are like paintings.  it’s difficult to get the right appreciation and impression if you stand too close to the canvas.  and so,  she considers her companion thoughtfully when he speaks.  gaze lingers for a few moments,  a pensive expression plain to be seen in the sage depths of her eyes.  there is curiosity too which springs forth.  ❝  what...is it?  ❞  she inquires softly  ❝  you’re.  ‘meant’ to be?  what?  ❞
