No, really. I helped my nice lesbian neighbor with the pregnant wife get elected alderwoman, and then I went to the most diverse party I've ever seen in New Haven and sang and danced with a few hundred strangers. I got hugged by an elderly man who was out walking 3 days a week to help get his social worker daughter elected to the board. He is the best. I'm cynical about a lot, but this was pretty amazing. Our city is about to change.
