I've seen people try and compare Ward to Natasha or Bucky and say if we can forgive them for their mistakes, we can forgive and love Ward. Well...Ward made all of his own decisions, sad backstory or not, unlike Bucky or Natasha. The Ward apologist really don't surprise me, unfortunately.
it's not even about making their own decisions, it's about Ward being a literal Nazi and not wanting to apologize for it. "Oh I didn't wanna kill you and Jemma" eXCEPT YOU NEARLY DID SO
and I mean Bucky is a v unfortunate situation but I honestly don't particularly care about him. Natasha made a lot of mistakes and is now atoning for them, and that's what separates her from Ward. She is willing to put it all out there because she's now fighting Hydra.
Ward apologists are just here for a white dude's puppy dog eyes plain and simple. Like every single time he even begins to open his mouth I wanna gag. There's nothing he could ever do to redeem himself in my eyes because he betrayed and nearly killed basically all of the agents and a QUEER WOMAN (specifically BISEXUAL) and I'm not about any of this.
Plus we ALL know if Ward was a woman or gOD forBID a POC his ass would be grass by now.
