               Everything he’s ever worked for was on the line in what was without a doubt the most important match in his thirteen-year long wrestling career. It was nearly three years in the making. From the moment Gargano and Tommaso were randomly put together to fill a spot in the original Dusty Rhodes classic to their last match as a team. The Ohioan had so much support going into his main event match but no one supported Gargano more than the Femme Fatale of NXT who just so happened to also be his girlfriend.  The bell rang as he was declared the winner of the match and while the arena exploded in cheers, everything went silent in his head because he did it. Johnny not only regained his NXT Contract but he also defeated his former best friend. Gargano was in that state of shock and emotions running wild so deeply that he didn’t even realize Billie running down the ramp and into the ring until after her arms were around him and she was holding him in a hug. As they stood to his feet and Johnny finally sunk back into the reality of what was going on, he finally brought his arms around Billie and held her close.  “I did it,” he whispered into her ear. It was almost said as a question because to him, none of this felt real to him. A dream that he’d wake up from in a couple of seconds only to realize Tommaso was actually the winner or something like that. “Thank you. Thank you so much.”

What I like about them Everything? I think he’s the perfect babyface character. He’s great on the microphone, even better in the ring. His connection with the fans is so strong. I just love Johnny so much and I hope he gets all the great things in life - and Tommaso’s blood on his hands.

What I dislike about them His dorkiness. Damn you.

Favorite moment versus Andrade Almas for the title

Least favorite moment When Tommaso turned on him. 

A situation with this character that I want to see explored more I honestly can’t think of anything that I think should be explored more?? I feel like NXT has done such a good job with his character over the last couple months that there isn’t anything I think they haven’t touched on enough.
